Titanic Swede was a parody film made by a group of students. They chose Eleanor West and Jack Bowyer to play the lead roles of Rose and Jack. Their target audience was 14-25 year olds who would relate to the main actors. They used a plastic boat in a sink to represent the Titanic hitting an iceberg for humor. To market their low-budget film on social media, they created accounts on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. They also made a film poster in Photoshop and InDesign to advertise how to access the film.

3. First we decided on our film, and one of the main things we had to think about was: Who's going
to be in it, but secondly who our target audience are...
We decided to use: Eleanor to play Rose, and Jack to play Jack, as we felt these two had the best
acting skills suited to the part. In addition, the target audience we decided to use was 14- 25 due
to the fact it's informal and they can relate to our main actors.
Moving on we needed to think about the mise en scene to our film, this being mainly props and
settings. We decided to use a plastic boat in a sink to represent the titanic hitting the iceberg to
add humor into our swede. We also felt we could be quite varied with our settings as it's a
parody but also we don't have access to the sea.

4. From this we had to think about marketing, which as a group was passed over to Beth and Katie and due to
being a low budget film we thought it was best to take advantage of social media in order to promote our
films. We made a twitter, Facebook and Instagram page as we felt it was something our target audience used
on a daily basis, but also it should potentially generate positive word of mouth through positive responses
and re-tweets but also through celebrity endorsement.

We thought carefully about synergy when it came to how we would could expand on our marketing to the
film, we chose to sell the theme tune through Itunes from three big stars. We included the soundtrack in our
swede and trailer to make it clear that we having some big stars involved. As a result of celebrity
endorsement we can increase our target audience due to celebrity's having a large group of devoted fans
which will therefore generate revenue for our film.
