6. I am interested in the workshop mainly because of the open-source
philosophy of the Arduino hardware and Processing software. They seem
to empower 'normal' people (if there is such a thing) to get on with
developing and prototyping ideas rapidly. The varied home-grown
projects I have seen online, are all stimulating get-on and have a go
projects. And although I know this is hardly new technology (Basic
stamps have been around for years), I really like the accessibility of
the Arduino philosophy.
