First programmable computer. The Z1 was created by German Konrad Zuse in his
parents' living room between 1936 and 1938. It is considered to be the first electro-
mechanical binary programmable computer, and the first really functional modern
computer.

Ginsberg, an researcher at Ampex Corporation, invented the videotape recorder in
1952. The contraption worked by taking live images from cameras and converting
them into electrical impulses stored on magnetic tape. Ampex sold the first video tape

recognizable form in 1990, when computer scientist Tim Berners-Lee invented the

Web 1.0 refers to the first stage in the World Wide Web, which was entirely made up
of web pages connected by hyperlinks. Although the exact definition of Web 1.0 is a
source of debate, it is generally believed to refer to the web when it was a set of static
websites that were not yet providing interactive content. In Web 1.0, applications
were also generally proprietary. Lasted until 2004.

1989. The web was originally conceived and developed to meet the demand for
automatic information-sharing between scientists in universities and institutes around
the world. The World Wide Web (WWW) is a network of online content that is
formatted in HTML and accessed via HTTP. The term refers to all the interlinked HTML
pages that can be accessed over the Internet.

Mobile phone is a portable telephone that can receive and make calls over a radio
frequency link whilst the user is moving meaning that they can talk on the go. The first
handheld mobile phone was demonstrated by John F Mitchell and Martin Cooper in

Google is an American multinational technology company that specializes in internet
related services. It was founded in 1998 by Larry page and Sergey Brin, whilst they

Live journal is a Russian social networking service where users can keep a blog, journal
or diary. American programmer Brad Fitzpatrick started live journal on April 15th 1999
as a way of keeping his high school friends updated on his activities

Walkman is a series of portable audio players, “the original Walkman” released in
1979 was a portable cassette player that changed listening habits by allowing people
to listen to music on the go.

Web 2.0 is the name used to the describe the second generation of the world wide
web, where it moved static HTML pages to a more interactive and dynamic web
experience. Web 2.0 is focused on the ability for people to collaborate and share
information online via social media, blogging and web-based communities. Web 2.0
signaled a change in which the world wide web became an interactive experience
between users and Web publishers, rather than the one-way conversation that had
previously existed. It also represents a more populist version of the Web, where new
tools made it possible for nearly anyone to contribute, regardless of their technical
knowledge

Facebook is a website that was launched on February 4th 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg,
along with fellow Harvard college students and room mates: Eduardo Saverin, Andrew
Mccollum, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes. The websites membership was initially
limited to Harvard students. However, since 2006 anyone who claims to be at least 13
years old has been allowed to become a registered user of Facebook.

YouTube is an american- video sharing website headquartered in San Bruno,
California. Three former paypal employees- Chad Hurley, Steve Chen and Jawed Karim-
created the service in February 2005. Google bought the site in November 2006 for
$1.65 billion.
Youtube allows users to upload, view, rate, share, add to favorites, report, comment
on videos and subscribe to other users. It offers a wide variety of user generated and
corporate media videos.

Instagram
Instagram is a photo and video sharing social networking service owned by Facebook
Inc. It was created by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger and launched in October 2010
on IOS. A version on android was then released a year and 6 months later and
followed by a feature-limited website interface in November 2012. The app allows
users to upload photos and videos to the service which can be edited with various
filters and organized with tags and by location.An accounts posts can be shared
publicly or privately with approved followers and users can browse others content
using the explore page or there feed.

By late 2009 the iPad's release had been rumored. Such speculation mostly talked
about Apple's tablet, specific names included iTablet and iSlate. The iPad was
announced January 27 2010 by Steve Jobs at an Apple press conference at the Yerba
Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.

Snapchat Snapchat is a multimedia messaging app used globally, created by Evan
Spiegel Bobby Murphy and Reggie Brown, former students at Stanford University, and
developed by Snap Inc., originally Snapchat Inc.One of the principal concepts of
Snapchat is that pictures and messages are only available for a short time before they
become inaccessible. The app has evolved from originally focusing on person-to-
person photo sharing to presently featuring "Stories" of 24-hour chronological
content, along with "Discover" to let brands show ad-supported short-form
entertainment. Snapchat has become notable for representing a new, mobile-first
direction for social media and places significant emphasis on users interacting with
virtual stickers and augmented reality objects. As of February 2018, Snapchat has
187 million daily active users
