Monday through Thursdays are usually the days that are preoccupied
with classes and work. However, in contrast with Monday, Friday is a
day where there is no school work to worry about or classes to attend
and so usually Fridays are spent relaxing and spending time with
family or friends. Something that has caught my attention when
school has started was the major difference my schedule was with the
weekdays and weekends. For this time management assignment, I
analyzed my day with classes with a day with no class in order to
analyze how time is managed. I am certainly not a morning person
who gets things done in the morning but rather focus my energy on
the afternoon. So I started to analyze starting from 12pm.

relaxing, watch funny

Let it be note that the pie chart above is in
relation with the actual hours of the day (starting
from 12pm). Each section represents how many
hours/minutes spent of the 12 hours of the day
(pm wise).

Quadrant III: Working
out at the gym, running,
lifting weights
Quadrant I/II: Time
spent in class, doing
work, studying.
Quadrant IV: Time
spent riding subway
back home, walking.

Maintaining my health is one
of the top priorities at a day to day
basis. Going to the gym and
exercising is a key essential to
Quadrant III. Although taking care of
my own health, it is also useful to
meet more people and making myself
more “popular”. Mondays through
Thursday my time is spent more in
Quadrant II and III than in Quadrant
IV. Getting mostly my homework
done as soon as possible or at the
same day it was assigned in order to
prevent Quadrant I.

In contrast with
Monday there is a colossal difference
with how time is spent on school days
and days without classes. On Friday,
time is considerably spent more on
Quadrant IV than in Quadrant II or III
all together. Since it is basically a
three day weekend, there is more
liberty to spend time relaxing with
friends or family and not have to
worry about school work or classes
the next day.

Strengths
-

-

-

Being able to finish off
school work as soon as it
was assigned in order to
avoid being in Quadrant I.
Time is spent more on
Quadrant II than in
Quadrant IV on weekdays
with classes.
Limited myself to Quadrant
IV in days with classes in
order to get things done.

Weaknesses
- Time spent significantly on Quadrant
IV on days with no classes.
- Schoolwork is done to a minimum
degree on weekends.
- Not being able to do work on
weekends tends to push me on
Quadrant I the more time is
procrastinated.
Moon 8

My time is well managed according to the time matrix because my time is
spent more on Quadrant II than on Quadrant III or IV on weekdays with classes. This is
important to me because on weekdays work are required to be accomplished by the end
of the week or else it would stack up. Judging that I get my work done as soon as it is
assigned because of well managed time is a good sign. However, my time is spent
significantly on Quadrant IV on weekends which leads to pushing myself on Quadrant I
if I do not focus myself finishing the work. Without the pressure of having class the
next day, my time is spent more on Quadrant IV on weekends. This time management
assignment has opened my eyes with how I manage my things.
