> There are 3 meals in a day, which could vary in time from thirty
minutes to an hour.
> The recommended sleep time for a college student is 7-9 hours.
> Which means there is anywhere from 12-14 hours in the day to be
productive and use your time effectively.

4. Tips!
> There are many ways to conserve your energy and spend
your time wisely.
> Here are 6 steps to take to make better use of your time:
1. Educate yourself
2. Make a game plan
3. Set realistic goals
4. Set boundaries
5. Be kind to yourself
6. Reward yourself
5. Educate Yourself
> A good quote I once heard from my pastor was, ”Your practice won’t change until your
perspective changes.”
> We first need to realize that managing our time is highly important and allows us to be
healthier in mind, body and soul.
> Sleep is a driving factor to our overall health and drives us to succeed in the classroom, sports
settings and anywhere else we need to function.
> Getting our goals done allows us to have more confidence to go beyond what we think we are
capable of and succeed.
7. Make a game plan
> In order to set ourselves up for success, we need to make an action plan on how to achieve
success with our time.
> Humans need structure to stay on track throughout the day and stay on the path that was
originally committed to.
8. Game plan
Game Plan the movie is a famous
movie known for a little girl who
comes in and wrecks the world
of an uprising super-star in
football. The girl cant leave, so
they come up with a game plan
on how to live with the girl and
still be successful in football.
We need to be more like
the Game Plan movie so
that we can still reach
success while having fun
and enjoying life.
9. Set Realistic Goals
> Make a list of attainable goals that you know you can reach everyday.
> Reach for higher goals, once you have reached your easy-attainable goals.
> Remind yourself that you can & will do whatever you ser your mind on.
11. Set boundaries
> In order to achieve your goals, you need to set boundaries in your life that set you up for
success.
> Such boundaries could be: no screen time on social media from 12-2, no social time with
friends while homework is being worked on, or no screen time 20 minutes before bed.
13. Be Kind to Yourself
> It is important to note that some days will just be tougher than others
> On these tough days, we need to be able to show ourselves grace
> This means that its okay if you didn’t reach all of the goals you set for yourself that day; don’t
get so down on yourself for not reaching them.
> If you are falling asleep at your computer doing homework at 2 in the afternoon, its okay to
take a quick nap to gain momentum to finish the day without feeling guilty about it.
15. Reward Yourself
> It is beneficial to the body to be rewarded after achieving goals
> Rewards don’t have to always be something that was bought or given to you, maybe it’s just
giving yourself some extra time on social media or giving yourself words of affirmation for the
good you did that day.
> Your body naturally responds to things when there is a reward involved and which will make
you want to keep going back to the things that you are rewarded for.
17. Review
> Managing your time wisely, is important for being over all healthy.
> Educating yourself on why it is important to be productive with your time
is the only thing that will cause a shift in prioritizing your life for the better.
> Making an action plan keeps you accountable and gives you structure on
how to achieve better time management.
> Setting realistic goals instead of unachievable goals, gives you the
confidence to keep going.
> Setting personal boundaries makes it harder to make a mistake and fall
into a slippery slope of procrastination.
>Being kind to yourself is the only way your body will respond to wanting
to keep being productive with your time.
18. Moving Forward
From now on, I challenge you to use these new tools to set up a game plan to live a more
productive and freeing lifestyle.

effective way from here on out.
