Students will create a webquest using Word on space transportation innovations and the role of trial and error in space exploration. They will also explore a teacher-provided social networking page on different modes of transportation and create an altered photo in Photoshop of a space-related image, describing the changes made. The webquest must be completed with 95% accuracy and emailed to the teacher for evaluation on use of cited facts and images. For the social networking activity, students will vote on pins as a class and receive credit for participation. Photoshop images will be evaluated based on the before/after photos and document describing the alterations. The goal is for students to demonstrate understanding of webquest structure and learn basic Photoshop skills while

1. Thursday:
State Objective- This will be one of the longer and more time consuming projects for the day. Today will
consist of looking at social networking again, another more detailed and plain webquest using word and
learning how to create a picture using Photoshop. Students can identify now what a webquest is and
what needs to go in one and we can look at using social networks with education as well. Using
Photoshop will be more of a difficult task, but rewarding because it’s used on a daily basis for many
reasons. Students will demonstrate their understanding for webquests again and develop a photo
shopped picture of what they did to a normal picture and how they have altered it using Photoshop.
With 95% accuracy students will create another webquest, look at social networking, and create a
Photoshop pictured of the transportation required for the day.
Select Media and Materials-Again a webquest will be used in creating and understand the events and
the role that space innovation took place that changed transportation. Using word they will create a
word documented webquest not online. They will use links and facts to create a webquest using the
internet. The social networking page will be provided again by the teacher from previous lessons but a
different type of transportation. The Photoshop will create the most out of the designing new materials.
Photoshop will be the most challenging but it will also be very useful for later on in your educational
years.
Utilize Media and Materials-Utilizing the webquest is a fun and creative way to stay on topic and it is a
structured project and should be easier considering we’ve done it previously. The space events within
their webquest and the research they find will present a new concept to them how important many trial
and error is especially in space. The social networking will be just like before but it will show a different
set of transportation innovation and more information that can be used from the pictures to be put in
the webquest. It can be very educational and serve a purpose even if that social networking is not our
main focus it will tie into other material. UtilizingPhotoshop is the main concern of this objective.
Photoshop is a very world known source of picture alternating because it is done every daytoo many
different kinds of pictures. It can be a good and bad way to alter something or give it more and create
something new and unique. They will take a picture of any kind of space surrounding, make changes to
it and write a short summary of what they’ve done to it.
Require Learner Participation-A webquest will require individual participation and will be done in class
using word document. Since the instructions won’t be laid out again it is up to the students to go back
and look at what they previously did to create a new webquest on a complete different transportation
innovation. The Pinterest board will be a break from such tedious work and be something they can
explore as a class with the teachers social networking account. As a class they will decide, vote and pick
a few pins they’d like on the board of space innovation. Photoshop will also be done in class and by
creating a picture altering it, using basic tools the students will process how exactly to do some altering
of their choice. It is up to them to decide what to do. They have the freedom to pick any picture that
represents space innovation or transportation and they will create and before and after image along
with a document of what they’ve done to the picture and if they liked it.
Evaluate and Revise-The webquest will be sent via email to the teacher and if not finished in class will
have 2 school days to complete and email using the school email in order to receive credit. The
webquest will be evaluated on completion and whether they used the information they cited in order to
demonstrate their knowledge of space transportation through the webquest with facts and pictures.

2. Social networking will be done as a class participation and as long as each student has voted on two
pictures they will receive credit. I will mark down a check mark by each student’s name in order for me
to count students participation. I will look at the photo shopped before and after picture along with the
document of what they did and it will be revised and given a completion grade. Photoshop is confusing
and challenging media to work with and it takes time to be constructive with Photoshop. These media
and materials will show space transportation.
