armour suggest further strength and historical association.
His costume is different the traditional choice of clothing in England,
therefore you can decide that he is out of is comfort zone and perhaps
related to the previous supernatural features shown.

7. This establishing shot of the location occurs half way through the
trailer, showing the contrast between the shot shown at the start.
The audience is now clear that the film will cut between these two
locations and will be a running theme.
This shot is typical of a fantasy film with the remoteness
and unfamiliar shaped buildings. However, the beginning
establishing shot shows a city and dull lighting, which
contrasts with this and therefore the difference in the
character depending on where they originate.

8. The audience can expect the action of the film to occur in
this setting, the pace of the trailer increases with sharp cuts
between the different scenes.
The smoke and red light indicates danger and conflict which will give
the audience an idea of what to expect. The location of a forest also
increase the feeling of isolation and tension for the audience.

association with super hero's.
The dark lighting and eerie setting through the smoke suit the scene of a war
zone. We know they are in a battle through the continual conflict of others behind
the main character while he acts heroicly and brings an end to the fight. These
ideas can be assumed from the typical conventions of super hero/ fantasy films
and the audience know that is what they can expect.

10. The villain of the film is shown to have a disfigured face and dressed in
full black. This contrasts with the hero’s red cape and blonde hair. The
darkness immediately connects with evil and similarly to the audience
expecting a good-looking hero, the villain is shown unattractively.

11. The large font show that the title of the
franchise is ‘Thor’, however those who have
seen the first one will know this is a sequel by
the added text underneath, but also showing
that the important part that people should
remember is simply ‘Thor’.
