21.4 million people in Pakistan do not know if they will have food each day largely due to a lack of adequate job skills. The country has an opportunity with over 50 million youth aged 17-35, but 40 million of them need skills training today to become productive members of society rather than a liability. This document outlines the vision for the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector in Pakistan through establishing 30 centers of excellence that provide internationally recognized certification to help address unemployment and poverty. So far, four centers have been established with several more under construction or in the planning phases.
