Clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSS) were explicitly introduced in the 90’s with the aim of providing knowledge to clinicians in order to influence its decisions and, therefore, improve patients’ health care. There are different architectural approaches for implementing CDSS. Some of these approaches are based on cloud computing, which provides on-demand computing resources over the internet. The goal of this paper is to determine and discuss key issues and approaches involving architectural designs in implementing a CDSS using cloud computing. To this end, we performed a standard Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of primary studies showing the intervention of cloud computing on CDSS implementations. Twenty-one primary studies were reviewed. We found that CDSS architectural components are similar in most of the studies. Cloud-based CDSS are most used in Home Healthcare and Emergency Medical Systems. Alerts/Reminders and Knowledge Service are the most common implementations. Major challenges are around security, performance, and compatibility. We concluded on the benefits of implementing a cloud-based CDSS since it allows cost-efficient, ubiquitous and elastic computing resources. We highlight that some studies show weaknesses regarding the conceptualization of a cloud-based computing approach and lack of a formal methodology in the architectural design process.

software developments in immersive technologies including AR, VR and MR in terms of the commercial
availability of advanced headsets equipped with XR-accelerated processing units and Software
Development Kits (SDKs) are significantly increasing the penetration of such devices for entertainment,
corporate and industrial use. This trend creates next-generation usage models which rise serious technical
challenges within all networking and software architecture levels to support the immersive digital
transformation. The focus of this paper is to detect, discuss and propose system development approaches
and architectures for successful integration of the immersive technologies in the future information and
communication concepts like Tactile Internet and Internet of Skills.

This tutorial presents tools and techniques for effectively utilizing the Internet of Things (IoT) for building advanced applications, including the Physical-Cyber-Social (PCS) systems. The issues and challenges related to IoT, semantic data modelling, annotation, knowledge representation (e.g. modelling for constrained environments, complexity issues and time/location dependency of data), integration, analy- sis, and reasoning will be discussed. The tutorial will de- scribe recent developments on creating annotation models and semantic description frameworks for IoT data (e.g. such as W3C Semantic Sensor Network ontology). A review of enabling technologies and common scenarios for IoT applications from the data and knowledge engineering point of view will be discussed. Information processing, reasoning, and knowledge extraction, along with existing solutions re- lated to these topics will be presented. The tutorial summarizes state-of-the-art research and developments on PCS systems, IoT related ontology development, linked data, do- main knowledge integration and management, querying large- scale IoT data, and AI applications for automated knowledge extraction from real world data.

In this paper we have penetrate an era of Big Data. Through better analysis of the large volumes of data that are becoming available, there is the potential for making faster advances in many scientific disciplines and improving the profitability and success of many enterprises. However, many technical challenges described in this paper must be addressed before this potential can be realized fully. The challenges include not just the obvious issues of scale, but also heterogeneity, lack of structure, error-handling, privacy, timeliness, provenance, and visualization, at all stages of the analysis pipeline from data acquisition to result interpretation.

Digital technologies have changed the way supply chain operations are structured. In this article, we conduct systematic syntheses of literature on the impact of new technologies on supply chains and the related cyber risks. A taxonomic/cladistic approach is used for the evaluations of progress in the area of supply chain integration in the Industrial Internet of Things and Industry 4.0, with a specific focus on the mitigation of cyber risks. An analytical framework is presented, based on a critical assessment with respect to issues related to new types of cyber risk and the integration of supply chains with new technologies. This paper identifies a dynamic and self-adapting supply chain system supported with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) and real-time intelligence for predictive cyber risk analytics. The system is integrated into a cognition engine that enables predictive cyber risk analytics with real-time intelligence from IoT networks at the edge. This enhances capacities and assist in the creation of a comprehensive understanding of the opportunities and threats that arise when edge computing nodes are deployed, and when AI/ML technologies are migrated to the periphery of IoT networks.

Smart Data for Behavioural Change: Towards Energy Efficient BuildingsAnna Fensel
“The Semantic Web is not a separate Web but an extension of the current one, in which information is given well-defined meaning, better enabling computers and people to work in cooperation.” - this statement of Tim Berners-Lee has gained even more relevance since the start of this century.
The humanity is rapidly developing and persistently experiencing local and global challenges, such as global warming/climate change, dis-balances in demand and supply, among many others. Mastering most (if not all) of them require a behavior change. Behavioral change is difficult to achieve per se, and it is important that technology – as a major enabler - has a positive rather than a negative impact here.
Further, the dramatic growth of data volumes (Big Data, Internet of Things) and the data’s increased power and impact and on the people's daily lives are calling for new types, practices and policies of behavior with data.
These factors made the role of semantic technology even more crucial: in terms of providing a well-defined meaning, and eventually delivering Smart Data for a functional and fair data value chain.
Addressing the behavioural change with Smart Data, I discuss potential ICT solutions investigating the domain of energy efficient buildings. Particularly, our completed OpenFridge experiment will be presented: design and development of the Internet of Things data system with semantic and data analytics enablers for building new services on a top of typical home appliance data — in particular, refrigerators. The system has been evaluated with real life end-user pilots.
In conclusions, I overview our related ongoing work, namely, in the areas of the impact of Big Data on society and related research roadmapping (linking to sociology), personalized energy efficiency data management services in buildings (linking to psychology), and semantic data licensing (linking to law).
Information technology is a powerful enabler to accelerate the pace of discovery and development in the pursuit of bringing new therapies to patients. This presentation illustrates one such opportunity to accelerate data analytics – saving time and money.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

However the hypy is obvious. Gartner Hype Cycle, 2009: Still at the peak of inflated expectations with 2 to 5 years to mainstream adoption
Our main research question is if it is possible to use cloud computing in the Dutch healthcare sector. For this reason I divided the research in three main areas: cloud, healthcare NL, and a third one linking the findings from these two phases in an meta-artifact
I applied Jarvinen framework to determine the most appropriate research approach and methods according to the research question that we aim to answer
From an interpretative perspective we have considered how all relevant stakeholder define the concept of cloud computing There are 100s of definitions with sometimes contradictory concepts. Berkeley: Does not emphasize abstraction of infrastructure explicitly & excludes private clouds from the definition. Telefonica: Does not distinguish cloud services from clouds and does not provide definitive economic implications
