Stage management involves organizing all aspects of a theatrical production including coordinating communication between personnel. A stage manager has overall responsibility for ensuring a smooth execution. Larger productions employ a team of managers including a head stage manager and assistants. The deputy stage manager calls cues and ensures the show continues smoothly during technical problems.

activities, including organizing the production and coordinating communications between various personnel. Stage
management is a sub-discipline of stagecraft.
A stage manager is one who has overall responsibility for stage management and the smooth execution of a production. Stage
management may be performed by an individual in small productions, while larger productions typically employ a stage
management team consisting of a head stage manager, or "Production Stage Manager", and one or more assistant stage
managers.
The DSM prompts actors and will usually cue technical crew members and sometimes cast, while following the orders
of the director and stage manager. The DSM calls actors to hold while technical problems are sorted out during
rehearsal, and determines where in the script to restart halted scenes. The deputy stage manager (DSM) is a separate
position in some theatres, while in others the responsibilities of the DSM may be assumed by the stage manager or
assistant stage manager.

3. During lighting tech, your work could range from basic spotlighting for a conference or presentation to
operating strobes, lasers and pyrotechnics for concerts or lighting film or TV studios and locations.
Your tasks would vary depending on whether you worked on a film, TV or theatre production, but could
include:
helping to rig up the lighting equipment
making sure that lighting equipment and generators are working
setting up generators on location
interpreting a lighting designer's plan
taking cues from the stage manager (theatre) or floor manager (studio TV)
programming consoles and loading automated colour change systems before a show
operating manual and computer-controlled lighting systems during a show
planning where to run cables and place lights at film locations
taking down the equipment after shows or filming.

4. The sound technician is responsible of running the audio equipment during a
performance or public event as well as for the quality of the sound during the
performance. Skills sets required to do the job include the ability to run a sound
board, to create audio recordings for the performances and to work with the
director or production manager to create the sound for a show.

5. Sound and lighting operators, are normally positioned in a sectioned-off area front of
house, surrounded by the audience or at the edge of the audience area. From this
position they have unobstructed hearing and a clear view of the
performance, enabling the operation of the main speaker system, consoles and other
equipment. In this case Front of House can refer to both the audience/public or to the
specific small section from where the show is shown.
The front of house speakers are the main speakers that cover the audience, and the
front of house desk is the desk that generates the front of house audio mix. In smaller
venues the front of house desk may also produce mixes for the monitor speakers
onstage, whereas in larger venues there will normally be a second mixing desk for
monitor control positioned just off the side of the main stage. The audio engineer that
designs the front of house sound system and puts it into place for the show/event is
the system engineer, and this role is often separate from the person who operates the
mixing desk who is often employed by the band directly.

6. The props master is responsible for
locating, building, purchasing, loaning, maintaining and returning all
set furniture dressings, and props needed for a production. Props
include set furniture, set dressings, trim props, set props, hand
props, personal props, and greens. The following is a list of specific
items that need to be done and a time frame for accomplishing your
tasks. Also, ensuring that the props are placed in the appropriate places
for the performance so that the performers can easily locate them before
they go on stage.

8. Is responsible for the safety of the backstage area during all performances. Cleans
stage at start of
call-time and is responsible for all set changes during the course of a performance or
rehearsal.
Returns set to “pre-show” setting after every performance.
Responsible for making sure that the set is ready and in working order before the
show and responsible for the get out after the show.
