THE MODEL SUMMED UP…
• Two-dimensional illustration of a process that
is obviously not as simple or as clean as the
illustration
• Four-dimensional in actuality
• Communities enter the Model in a wide variety
of ways and places
• Progress through the Model is unpredictable,
but the elements of the process illustrated has
been shown to be effective and necessary for
sustainable community development

HOW THIS CAME TO THE HUB…
The research that led to the Community
Performance Coaching model revealed
that the lack of a systemic approach to
community development in WV (and
other states) was one of the causes for
lack of effectiveness. But it also
revealed that the systemic approach
doesn't happen by itself.
