This document summarizes the West Virginia Community Development Hub and its resources for community change, including the Community Development Model and Network and the Community Coaching Performance Agenda. It describes the Hub's role as a catalyst, resource, and capacity builder to support a locally directed, continuous, and aligned community development process. program for NeighborWorks and the Sulzberger
Fellows program at Columbia School of
Journalism.

The research that led to the Community
Performance Coaching model revealed
that the lack of a systemic approach to
community development in WV (and
other states) was one of the causes for
lack of effectiveness. But it also
revealed that the systemic approach
doesn't happen by itself.
