MCC Panel
The Motor Control Centre Panels, also called MCC Panels are used to control motors
from a central point in big industrial and commercial applications. In many industrial and
commercial applications, many electric motors are required, it is frequently advantageous
to control part or all of them from a central place. The motor control centre is the device
designed for this function.
Multiple enclosed sections with common bus bars make up the motor control centres,
with each section housing power contactors, isolators, protection relays, and other control
and indication devices.
As the mechanisation of many industrial processes necessitates a large number of motors,
Motor Control Centre (MCC) Panels are required to regulate them all. The MCC can plug
in the control components, which can be plugged in or unplugged, eliminating the need
for wiring the devices.
5. Production stages of MCC Panel
Design the logic diagram of MCC panel as per customer requirement.
Seven Tank Powder Coating of Outlet.
Selection of Components which is required to design the panel.
Placing Components.
Wiring on MCC Panel.
Testing of MCC Panel.
Packing and Shipping of MCC Panel.
Delivery of MCC panel to the customer.
6. Step 1: Design the logic diagram of MCC panel as per customer
requirement
7. Step 2: Seven Tank Powder Coating of Outlet
7-TANK POWDER COATING
In order to make cut-outs in panel, we have installed
essential machines in the fabrication shop, for instance,
bending and sheering machine, power press, MIG
Welding machine together with a number of dies &
fixtures. To assure the rigidity and proper internal
structure of control panel, the process of welding is
carried out with care and also top 10 electrical panel in
India. 7-Tank Powder coating process equipped with high
quality spray gun and heating Oven. After completion of
fabrication enclosure of electrical panel Firstly, go to
Degreasing Bath and wash with fresh water. Secondly
panel cabinet go de-rusting Bath, then after Water Rinse.
Thirdly, Phosphating Bath and then Water Rinse. Finally,
Passivation Bath then baked in the oven at a temperature
of 240 c for half an hour. The oven provides the panel
with more durability and also helps in provision of
longevity.
8. Step 3: Selection of Components
Bus Bar
Magnetic Contactor
Miniature Circuit Breaker
Contactor Auxiliary Contact
Relay Control
Control Transformer
Cable Installation Control Panel Enclosure
Limit Switch
9. Products Used for MCC Panel designing
MCB :- Miniature circuit breakers
MCB is an automatically
operated electromechanical switch
that is specially designed to protect
an electrical circuit from damage
caused by the excess current in case
of an overload or short circuit
condition.
MPCB:- Motor Protection Circuit
Breaker
The motor protection circuit
breaker (MPCB) protects the motor
from faults using a thermal-magnetic
circuit breaker.
Busbars:-
A Busbar is metallic Strip
or bar used to conduct electricity
within an electrical panel. It serves
as a common connection point for
multiple electrical circuits.
10. Products Used for MCC Panel designing
Limit Switch:-
A limit switch is an
electromechanical device used to detect
the presence or absence of an object.
These switches were originally used to
define the limit of travel of an object,
and as a result, they were named Limit
Switch.
Contactor:-
A contactor will be
used in situations where power
loads need to be turned on and off
frequently or rapidly.
Control Transformer:-
A control
transformer is an isolation
transformer designed to provide a
high degree of secondary voltage
stability (regulation) during a short
period overload condition typically
referred to as inrush.
11. Step 4: Placing components on panel
At the heart of every motor control
center is a collection of MCC buckets.
These are the modular, partially-enclosed
components of the motor control center
and contain a collection of motor starters,
relays, variable frequency drives and other
components that control motor-based
equipment. When you combine a
collection of MCC buckets together they
make up a motor control system. MCC
buckets are advantageous as they can be
easily moved, removed, modified or added
inside the motor control center. They also
make for quick and easy installation.
12. Step 5: Wiring on Panel
The MCC can plug in the
control components, which can
be plugged in or unplugged,
eliminating the need for wiring
the devices. The MCC would be
made up of a bus bar and other
control equipment that can be
used to control the motor's
operation as well as to place the
components in an integrated
panel.
13. Step 6: MCC Panel Testing procedure
Following steps used for control panel testing.
Step 1: Dimension and BOM check
Step 2: Power and Cable size check
Step 3: Control Wiring
Step 4: Megger and High Voltage test for the bus bar panel
Step 5: SPP and SMPS (24)V DC check
Step 6: VFD, PID, and TEMPERATURE controller parameter
programming
Step 7: Start Stop sequence
Step 8: OLR, CPR, MFM, and other monitoring devices
Step 9: PLC Programming checking
Step 10: Documentation for panel
14. Step 7: Packing and Shipping of MCC Panel
The MCC is bolted to a skid and wrapped in poly wrap suitable for occasional water-spray; a wooden frame and
chipboard surround the sections. All MCC export packing and crating is labeled with customer shipping
information, handling/safety instructions, and other special labels.
Any unattached items, such as splice kits and installation hardware, are typically boxed, labeled, and packed
together with the MCC. During receiving and handling, please check for any boxed items that may have not been
packed together with the MCC.
Extended storage may require space heaters and other considerations. Export packing adds extra weight to the
shipping block.
For truck shipments, the number of shipping blocks that you can load into a truck depends on the dimensions of
the shipping block. The typical trailer length is 53 ft. See the table for weights and dimensions

16. Advantages of MCC Panel
Following given below are the advantages of the Motor Control Centre Panels.
Installation of the MCC panel is simple.
The level of safety has been raised with the passage of time and further improving day by
day.
A more rapid operation can be performed through Motor Control Centre Panels.
Floor space can be saved by the installation of Motor Control Centre Panels.
Another advantage of the MCC is its expandability, which allows us to add sections and units
to it.
Interlocking remote control can be done through MCC panels.
Downtime can be reduced because the MCC can easily detect the problem and unplug the
faulty part.
