  1. First conduct a SWOT session with the team. Save the post-its for breakdown to actions…
  2. For each type (SWOT) decide what is important to know before we create (or not) actions. Here we break down the type Threats in two steps. First impact and probability and second…
  3. …and then importance and urgency. Choose other dimensions if you wish.
  4. Then we add an agreed action to our new team action backlog. Here we will start the project x lead to meet the new law, managed by John and delivered latest 1st june.
  5. Weakness breakdown can be done by the practice 5 why. Google on this and yo will find out more.
  6. Then add an agreed action to the team action backlog. Here we will inform managers of the way of working and push on the need for education for the team and how to prioritize this for better deliverys.
  7. Her we use a four field matrix. As stenghts are often just a ”tap on the shoulder” a good action could be celebration. Choose other dimensions if you wish.
  8. Here we celebrate with an After Work session when we have reached a ”good team” (whatever this is).
  9. Here we choose on low hanging fruits to get fast and valuable kickback of effort. Choose other dimensions if you wish.
  10. Then we choose to start a guild for the new tech as action. Now export your new team action backlog to Jira, Excel, Sharepoint or on just to your team wall and review minimun once per week. Also add coulmns of your choice such as work done, rank, trend and other useful. Perhaps merge your team action backlog with other teams to see common opportunities and challenges?
