talking about numbers
When you have a
sale, how do you
present it to
your customers?

For example:
The product is
priced at $25.
For the sale, the
price drops to $15.
Do you present it
as 40% off?
Or, as $10 off?
How do you show it
to your customer:
(%) By percentage?
($) Or, by numbers?
When the change
you want to show
is below 100, the
percentage
method is better.
X < 100 => %
When the change
you want to show
is above 100, the
number method
is better.
X > 100 => $
A discount of $250 can be
presented as 10% off of $2500.
But, presenting it as “$250 off”
is better than saying “10% off”.
Because 10% is smaller compared to 2500 and 250
For example:
This is true not just for
prices and sales. You can
implement this method for
revenue reporting,
proposals etc.
Use it Wisely!
How you present your
numbers affects the why
they are perceived.
Ho, and another tip to
remember:
Sometimes, presenting
the sale as “1/2 off” will
be even better.
