A TYPICAL DESIGN
To illustrate a program focused on individual development, we use the example of a leadership course designed for a manufacturing company. The company had a long history of promoting leadership development and had recently become concerned about building a cadre of “change-agent” leaders capable of coping with the accelerating pace of innovation in the industry. Two professors from a leading business school, experts in leadership, were called in to design a program around the leadership competencies required to effect organizational change. Together the professors and company sponsors produced and delivered a four-day learning experience structured around three distinct modules: the leader’s role in change, skills for implementing change, and motivational and empowerment practices.
At the start of day one, participants received survey feedback from a dozen of their workplace colleagues (superiors, peers, and subordinates). This feedback was structured so that the competency categories that were reported corresponded with each of the course’s three themes. This ensured that participants could personally gauge their strengths and weaknesses against the competencies described in the modules about to be taught. It was assumed that feedback early in the course would stimulate the participants’ desire to learn.
Following this feedback and a personal review session with an onsite coach, the program began with a module on leadership vision and change. Using a series of case studies from companies such as General Electric, Microsoft, and the Virgin Group, participants learned lessons about core leadership concepts such as strategic vision, unconventional market perspectives, and environmental scanning for opportunities. During course discussions, the professors encouraged participants to share their own experiences. This created dialogue that allowed the core concepts to be applied to the individuals’ own leadership challenges and personal work situations.
A second module was presented in days two and three that emphasized skills required for implementing change. Another series of case studies illustrated how effective leaders at several companies had successfully orchestrated large-scale organizational change. For example, participants explored the successful turnaround of the international advertising agency Ogilvy & Mather by its senior leader Charlotte Beers. This case study taught lessons about the process of developing a strategic vision and ways to implement the vision once it was defined. Experiential exercises were used to teach communications and influence skills. A portion of day three and all of day four explored the remaining themes of motivation and empowerment—again using experiential exercises and case discussions as the principal vehicles for conveying lessons and insight. Participants learned about the personal philosophies that leaders often draw on in their efforts to empower others, and about the importance of lea.

Service sector organisations must recognise the need to stay abreast of changes
in the external environment and remain goal focused to ensure company
objectives are met in both the short and long term. Increasing competition,
dynamic customer demand and the pace of technology have led to a realisation
that organisations need to flexible, agile and responsive to change. To this end,
businesses need to identify and critically examine future developments within the
service sector, and develop appropriate management strategies and actions to
facilitate change. Organisations that are risk adverse will take longer to proactively
meet the changing external environment and this module seeks to develop an
awareness of the organisational approach to risk by analysing appetite and
maturity levels. The module aligns with the nationally recognised need for
undergraduates to have a far deeper understanding and greater knowledge of
international issues and general awareness of the global agenda.

Organizational structure is how the organization is constructed. This can include management levels as well
as everyone who works toward maintaining the strategic mission of the organization with an eye on
development toward achieving the strategic vision. Companies can be organized in many different ways, and
the creativity in organizational structures continues to evolve.
One of the most common methods for organizational project structures is that of functionality, which is based
on functions within the organization such as marketing, accounting, finance, operations, human resources,
and more. This strategy is advantageous because of its specialization of functions within each operational
branch as well as its simplicity and general overall acceptance. This method provides a high level of staff
flexibility within each branch and represents a consistent path of advancement for individuals within each
function. The largest disadvantage with functional organizational structures is the fact that the client or
customer is not the primary focus. Instead, priority is placed on the tasks within each of the functions. Another
significant disadvantage of a functional approach within an organization is that the employees within each
function tend to have a narrow focus aligning with their particular function versus a more holistic viewpoint

All courses are open to students from all divisions. Only where a course is preceded by an introduction course is there a need to observe a prerequisite. I. COURSE DESCRIPTION
The focus of this course includes: 1) The top management’s strategic perspective for aligning competitive strategy, core competencies, and information systems; 2) The development and implementation of policies and plans to achieve organizational goals; 3) Defining the systems that support the operational, administrative, and strategic needs of the organization, its business units, and individual employees; 4) Approaches to managing the information systems’ function in organizations, including examination of the dual challenges of effectively controlling the use of well-established information technologies, while experimenting with selected emerging technologies; and 5) The role of the CIO.
II. RATIONALE
Students develop an understanding of the strategic use of information technology from a business perspective at the enterprise level. They are expected to understand the internal management of information systems services from the point of view of the CIO and to examine alternative strategies and tactics available to management to achieve goals. Working students and students with post-baccalaureate experience will be able to examine the current and potential impact of information and information technology on all aspects of their position, firm, and industry.

Abstract
The process of learning especially higher learning is associated with a number of challenges that should be addressed to enhance learning. These include the difficulty walking through hall ways and taking the advantages of the university’s basic services. In fact, studying during breaks has become a major challenge to many students including international students. This project aims at uncovering the problem of overcrowding in college campuses during breaks. It examines overcrowding during short breaks of most students going to colleges and universities in Jubail. It will illustrate the consequences of overcrowding in college campuses during breaks. It will examine student and institution awareness of the effects of overcrowding in college campuses during breaks.
Chapter One
1.1 Background of the study
Many students go home during breaks to finish their work and relax with their families and friends. They are usually excited and enthusiastic of upcoming academic breaks. However, some prefer to stay on campus during breaks and enjoying the services of the library and the cafeteria. Most students prefer staying on campus during academic breaks. However, staying during breaks can lead to overcrowding in the college campuses. Usually, students temporarily move to a single hall to make it easier for the skeleton crew of housing staff to effectively manage these students.
1.2 Problem Statement
Over the past years, overcrowding in college campuses during breaks continues to grow with many more students learning in Jubail University College. The level of students interested in remaining on campuses during short breaks tends to be increasing over time. This could be subjecting these students to risks of suffering impacting their health and overall well-being. Lack of awareness on the effects of overcrowding in college campuses during breaks tends to exist among students and their institutions.
1.3 Objectives
The main objective of this study is to assess overcrowding in college campuses in Jubail University College during breaks. We also intend to determine the level of awareness of the effects of overcrowding among students and their institutions.
1.4 Research Questions
1. Are college campuses in Jubail overcrowded during breaks?
2. What is the level of awareness among students and institutions?
1.5 Scope of Study
This study will be conducted in college campuses in Jubail during breaks. The study will cover several colleges and universities in the region.

Organizational structure is how the organization is constructed. This can include management levels as well
as everyone who works toward maintaining the strategic mission of the organization with an eye on
development toward achieving the strategic vision. Companies can be organized in many different ways, and
the creativity in organizational structures continues to evolve.
One of the most common methods for organizational project structures is that of functionality, which is based
on functions within the organization such as marketing, accounting, finance, operations, human resources,
and more. This strategy is advantageous because of its specialization of functions within each operational
branch as well as its simplicity and general overall acceptance. This method provides a high level of staff
flexibility within each branch and represents a consistent path of advancement for individuals within each
function. The largest disadvantage with functional organizational structures is the fact that the client or
customer is not the primary focus. Instead, priority is placed on the tasks within each of the functions. Another
significant disadvantage of a functional approach within an organization is that the employees within each
function tend to have a narrow focus aligning with their particular function versus a more holistic viewpoint

Congress debated the issue of the Stewart Mckinney-Robert Stafford Act before passing. (Haddow 2013, p. 9). Haddow (2013) noted that “In the United States, a presidential disaster declaration is what makes available the range of resources available to the affected local and state governments as established through the Stafford Act.” (p. 192). For the president to be able to assist there has to be guidance that addresses authority and procedural requirements for the federal government to provide assistance at the tribal, state or local level. Sylves (2014) noted that “the Stafford Act reauthorizes the President to issue major disaster and emergency declarations, sets broad eligibility criteria, and specifies the type of assistance the President may authorize.” (p. 72). The president has the freedom to interpret narrowly or broadly what is declared a major disaster on a case by case basis. (Sylves 2014, p. 99). Haddow (2013) noted that “Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act (The Stafford Act) occurs about 44 times each year on average (in addition to major emergency and fire management assistance declarations which provide more limited assistance).” (p. 201). “There is over 30 federal department that works within the NRF structure with the ability to assist local and state officials.” (Haddow 2013, p. 191). While it can be asked if stats over-use the emergency program, the facts are the president has to approve these actions. States may take full advantage of the resources available to help limit the direct cost and impact to state budget and local economy. Sylves (2014) noted that “The Stafford Act does not prescribe exact criteria to guide FEMA recommendations or the president’s decision.” (p. 109). Events and disasters have created requirements to make changes to the Stafford Act. Haddow (2013) noted that “In February of 2001, the Preparedness Against Domestic Terrorism Act of 2001 was passed, which amended the Stafford Act to include acts of terrorism within its definition of “major disaster,” which formalized how the federal disaster support in terrorism incidents would take place.” (p. 329). The 2001 change also noted that the Director of FEMA was to implement the federal emergency preparedness plans and made the FEMA Director responsible for establishing the President’s Council on Domestic Preparedness to limit or eliminate duplication of preparedness within the federal terrorism preparedness program. (Sylves 2014, p. 329).
The Stafford Act is not without critics. The concern that approval of disaster relief would become more politically generated to influence elections or to stay in office. The roles of the government entities are more clearly defined in the National Response Framework (NRF) and are guided by policies and laws (Haddow, Bullock, and Coppola, 2014). The partnership of governmental and non-governmental organizations allows for disaster relief efforts to be spread across different organizations and allows each organization to focus on their duties during an incident.
While governmental disaster relief is paid for using tax dollars and federal grants, non-governmental organizations must rely heavily on donations. These donations may come in the form of both monetary and goods. Many non-governmental organizations collect supplies such as toiletries, clothing, and food for disaster relief needs. These organizations can be small local non-government organizations or larger organizations such as the American Red Cross.
Unlike governmental disaster relief assistance, non-governmental organizations are often set up for immediate needs of people for a short term basis. Non-governmental organizations are not trained for pubic safety efforts but relief efforts during an incident. These duties may include providing a short term shelter, food, or even a point of contact during an incident as seen in the American Red Cross (2011) video provided in the Week 8 resources (Haddow, Bullock, and Coppola, 2014).
Non-governmental organizations such as the Red Cross are recognized by the federal government as a key player in disaster relief efforts. In disasters declared by the President, the Red Cross takes on a role working with the federal government to support the temporary housing and care of mass people. The Red Cross often helps with feeding both the disaster relief workers and the people affected by the disaster. The government takes a more long term role in housing after a major disaster through programs such as the Department of Housing and Urban Development. These relief programs are aimed at rebuilding after the incident versus the non-governmental organizations whom provide short term assistance during and/or directly following a disaster (Haddow, Bullock, and Coppola, 2014).

A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
Complications of wound healing like infection, hyperpigmentation of scar, contractures, and keloid formation.
