The film pitch is for a teen drama called "Control" about 5 friends and the struggles they face in their teenage lives. Act 1 shows a couple where the girl tells the boy she is pregnant. Act 2 depicts how the characters deal with the challenges. Act 3 involves a disaster where one of the friends dies. The film will be in black and white to give it an edgy feel and appeal to teenage audiences around issues they can relate to in a realistic way. The budget will be low as an independent film aimed at a 15 certificate audience.

2. Genre Teen Drama – we are hoping a new teen drama which will appeal to teenagers and a film they can relate to. Some films in this genre can be quite far fetch but we are hoping that this film will be real and demonstrate real life situations for teenagers.

3. Narrative and Setting Our story is based around 5 friends and the struggles they have together within their teenage lives. Act 1 – The scene we will be doing will be showing a young teen age couple and the girl telling the boy that she is pregnant. Act 2 – This shows how the characters deal with the struggles in front of them and how they try and combat it. Act 3 – Shows a disaster within the friendship group as one of them dies. 4. Characters As we have mentioned there are 5 main characters they are Matt, Freddie, Mickie, Fiona and Paul. All of the characters are 17 years old. As you can see to our right this is a scene out of the film control in which the two of the main characters are sharing their intimate moment, we feel that this is a powerful imagery and the fact it is in black and white gives it a real edge and that’s the sort of effect we want to have in our film, so our film will be in black and white.

6. Audience The type of audience we are hoping to attract is a teenage audience who we are hoping will relate to it. The certificate of our film will be 15.

7. Budget range Our film is not going to be a big budget blockbuster, we are making a low budget independent film and it would not be made with one of the big companies. The company we would hope to make it with would be film 4.

8. The Opening In the opening of our film you will see matt and fiona who are of course the couple, you will see them sitting by the river calmly chilling after a night out and talking about the night out they just had. Fiona then tells matt the she is pregnant and then a big emotional argument kicks off and then we see how matt and fiona separately are dealing with this massive news.
