Poor health conditions such as obesity, asthma and weak
immune systems in young children are all growing issues in
our increasingly technological society today.
Obesity is one of the biggest issues amongst our children
today. Studies have proven that it has been the cause of and
increase poor diet intake and a decrease in physical activity

3. Solution...
Educating our children to develop a positive health attitude
is important in ensuring our children are not affected by
poor health
PDHPE education encourages children to make healthy
choices in regards to their own health and the health of
others, and helps build positive relationships with their
peers, friends and families

4. Benefits of PDHPE
Physical activity daily is vital in the development of a child’s
mental and physical health. One to two hours a day of
moderate activity has guaranteed to improve you
cardiovascular system and is a great way for children to
develop stronger bones and psychological health
Physical activity further reduce the risk of obesity and
coronary heart disease

5. Other aspects of PDHPE
PDHPE education further allows children to develop a
sense of self value and the value of others by learning more
about themselves and others
Children are given an opportunity to express their feelings
and learn to appreciate and tolerate their peers
Studies have shown that “Students who understand and
value themselves and others are better equipped to respond
to change and overcome adversity
