8. Security for User Management
• Users can be configured inside the three
Security page tabs:

provide them with the permissions required for a particular function.

• Andon Analytics data includes event counts, durations, and resolution reasons.
• Production Analytics reports provide users the ability to create custom report
templates they can save for easy access; including Cycle Time, Bypasses,
Defects, and Serial Number count data.
• Fastening Analytics includes fastening data, including lock counts,
tightening errors, resolution reasons, and durations.
10. Production Tracking
• Open PINpoint V5’s Production Tracking website to manage
and view current and scheduled work orders in real-time.
• Tracking ‘Monitor’ provides an aerial view of the work
stations and queues with their build items. Know the
performance at each workstation, the position of every
product in process, and the quality status of those
products; which enables you to predict what you
are “Likely” to produce by the end of the shift.
• A Work Order consists of a list of serial numbers
with the information required to build the product,
and the date when they should begin being produced.
• Create a Product, a Route for that Product and create a
Work Order to build it – PINpoint knows how long each
product spends in a workstation, who worked on it,
if it went over cycle, and if help was needed.

17. • Make changes from any computer on your plant network.

20. Start With Your Goal
• Goal is the number of products you want to build for a given shift.
• Select the Scheduler app from the PINpoint Portal Website
to set your Goal for each Shift, and to determine the
Takt time – do this in either of two (2) ways:
1) Input number of units to build for that shift and the system will calculate
the maximum Takt time required per unit (production time / build count)
2) Input the maximum Takt time per unit built and the system will calculate
the number of items the line can produce during the Shift (production
time / takt time, w/ result rounded down to nearest round number)
• Select Auto calculate and input the 'Percent' of Takt time to set your Cycle Time.
21. Dashboard – Plant View
• Plant View provides a clear picture of the assembly line performance
with a Real-time OEE calculation and indication of Goal, Planned, Actual.
• Metrics are displayed in an easy to read format accessible from the cloud.
• An OEE score of 100% is perfect production: manufacturing only good
parts, as fast as possible, with no stop time. An OEE score of 85%
is considered world class for discrete manufacturers.
22. Dashboard - Line View
• Line View tab provides information about Workstation performance, or
the percentage of planned products the Workstation built. It shows
current shift schedule performance, and time categorization information.
• The ‘Station Metrics’ view displayed at the bottom can be customized
• Filter the Station column data to show specific metrics per station.
• Line View ‘Station Metrics’ shows the manufacturer how their assembly
line is performing in real-time with OEE, Performance, and Quality
metrics displayed prominently for each Workstation.
23. Dashboard – Station View
• Station View charts performance of station based on Operator’s process step timing.
• The ‘Planned’ chart shows the expected output from the station as a saw tooth.
• It also allows the user to reclassify Performance Losses to Availability Losses.
24. Operator Metrics Report By Performance
• The Operator Metrics Report By Performance is useful for determining how operators
are performing relative to other operators on the same workstation and shift.
• Results are based on 'Actual' products produced divided by the 'Planned’ number of
products to produce in the specified time-frame the operator is logged into the station.
• Results can be displayed by percentile and color heat map. Use the
“DISPLAY OPTIONS” menu to select from several different metrics.
25. Operator Metrics Report By Average Cycle Time
• Display the By Average Cycle Time report to know the average cycle time
an Operator spends performing process steps while logged into
a certain workstation in a specified time-frame.
• Data can be visualized as either a percentile and/or a color heat map.
• Click on the column heading to filter the results for each workstation.
26. Operator Metrics Report By Total Units Produced
• Know which operators produced the most units at a certain station in a
specified time-frame by displaying the report By Total Units Produced.
• Data can be visualized as a value and a color heat map.
• Hover over the data to reveal specific details about the operator’s
process step completion timing performance.
