Pavilion to optimize patient flow.

deleted production databases.
• Extracted and formatted the requested process documentation and processingdocuments for the annual
KPMG financial audits.

the annual KPMG financial audits.
• Designed and coordinated the implementation of a multipleuserid structure to allowVirginiaMason to
meet the annual financial auditsecurity requirements for the Enterprise Business Systems team members
access to the GE application. This was necessitated by the lack of provision for such security by the
vendor. No other clients of this vendor had a workable solution to this security requirement.

monitoringby the vendor. No other clients of this vendor had a workablesolution for this monitoring.
• Developed Standard Processes for bringingthe production systems down and then back up again,
includingvalidation steps, in a timely, safe, orderly fashion.

requirements of the "Electronic Medical Record" as the voiceof the patient - a firstatVM.
System Analyst Programmer IV March 2000 - April 2005

automated processes. This was necessitated by the upgrade from MUMPS to CACHE. Intersystems did
not have a solution for this.Neither GE or any GE clients had a solution for this.
• Cultivated and maintained workingrelationshipswith members of all teams in ITto facilitatecoordination
of work efforts when needed.
• Developed automated WinBatch processes includingautomated process and application launching,
monitoringand notification.
• Interpreted and/or modified Cache processes developed by programmers no longer at Virginia Mason.
• Developed utility tools to be used by the team includingCacheroutines to automate the identification of
and modification of specific activities,in a library of over 400 VMS/DCL scripts with thousands of
activities,to new or updated Team Standards.
• Designed and Implemented a scheme for the distribution of processingbetween the two nodes of the
system cluster to allowfor optimized system performance.
• Established "access points"in standard automated processes in the Cacheand DCL layers to facilitate
monitoringand/or modification of process flows in any or all of those standard processes in temporary
and/or permanent situations.
• Developed and maintained ModifiableAccess Pointprocesses includingFSC/Plan Assignmentand
Combine VisitProfiles used in the GE application.
