The story for this task is that three jelly babies are on a
trampoline having fun outside in the park.They compete
with each other to see who can jump the highest.The red
jelly baby jumps really high and begins to ascend higher and
higher till he starts to leave the atmosphere of the earth.The
red jelly baby ends up on the moon alone and the story ends.
We will now discuss the choices of the shots in the following
slides.
The first photo can be described as an establishing shot. In this shot we see
the setting of the task and the characters are also introduced. We asked
for the jelly babies to be different colours in order to make the difference
between characters much easier to understand and viewed by the
audience.
Here in the second shot we see the actions of the jelly babies as they are
bouncing on the trampoline.The audience would then grasp the idea of
the age group and the character profile information that was given to each
character.We see that the jelly babies are in competition of who can jump
the highest.
In the climax part of the task we see that the red jelly baby has already begun
to ascend higher and higher than the other two jelly babies. From this the
audience will now be able to understand the story of the task and can see
where this is heading towards.
Here we have the red jelly baby ascending higher into space in the
foreground whilst we can see the moon in the background, implying
that that is where the red jelly baby is heading towards.This shot can
also be labelled as an establishing shot as we have both the character
and the scenery in the shot.
Finally in the last shot, we see the red jelly baby on the moon alone and
isolated.There are many morals we as the directors of the task can
apply to this.We can denote that this character is on the moon but it
could connote, isolation, competition and even friendship, are themes
that we can link this task to.
The analysis of this task is that we as a group have an idea of how shots are
going to help manipulate one other so that the ideas of the story are
made clear to the audience.We believe that as long as the audience
understand our story, we have accomplished our task at creating a
product that can be distributed to the audience.
The lesson learnt from this task is that if we follow the storyboard when
making the main task it will be easier to manage and saves the group
time. Furthermore by editing the pictures and creating a story through
brief ideas, it allows us to understand how difficult it may be when
creating a film.
This is going to be useful for the main task as it would mean that our
storyboard could be shown as very simplistic but as long as our ideas are
shown to the audience the task would be achievable and therefore
successful.

The Jelly Baby Task

The story for this task is that three jelly babies are on a trampoline having fun outside in the park.They compete with each other to see who can jump the highest.The red jelly baby jumps really high and begins to ascend higher and higher till he starts to leave the atmosphere of the earth.The red jelly baby ends up on the moon alone and the story ends. We will now discuss the choices of the shots in the following slides.
  • 4. The first photo can be described as an establishing shot. In this shot we see the setting of the task and the characters are also introduced. We asked for the jelly babies to be different colours in order to make the difference between characters much easier to understand and viewed by the audience.
  • 5. Here in the second shot we see the actions of the jelly babies as they are bouncing on the trampoline.The audience would then grasp the idea of the age group and the character profile information that was given to each character.We see that the jelly babies are in competition of who can jump the highest.
  • 6. In the climax part of the task we see that the red jelly baby has already begun to ascend higher and higher than the other two jelly babies. From this the audience will now be able to understand the story of the task and can see where this is heading towards.
  • 7. Here we have the red jelly baby ascending higher into space in the foreground whilst we can see the moon in the background, implying that that is where the red jelly baby is heading towards.This shot can also be labelled as an establishing shot as we have both the character and the scenery in the shot.
  • 8. Finally in the last shot, we see the red jelly baby on the moon alone and isolated.There are many morals we as the directors of the task can apply to this.We can denote that this character is on the moon but it could connote, isolation, competition and even friendship, are themes that we can link this task to.
  • 9. The analysis of this task is that we as a group have an idea of how shots are going to help manipulate one other so that the ideas of the story are made clear to the audience.We believe that as long as the audience understand our story, we have accomplished our task at creating a product that can be distributed to the audience. The lesson learnt from this task is that if we follow the storyboard when making the main task it will be easier to manage and saves the group time. Furthermore by editing the pictures and creating a story through brief ideas, it allows us to understand how difficult it may be when creating a film. This is going to be useful for the main task as it would mean that our storyboard could be shown as very simplistic but as long as our ideas are shown to the audience the task would be achievable and therefore successful.
