In May 2021, India and Israel joined a three-year work programme
starting from 2021 till 2023 for development in agriculture cooperation.
Both the countries are putting into effect the ‘INDO-ISRAEL Agriculture
Project Centres of Excellence’ and the ‘INDO-ISRAEL Villages of

11. INDO-ISRAEL Villages of Excellence (IIVOE)
INDO-ISRAEL Villages of Excellence (IIVOE) is a model ecosystem
in agriculture and it will be created across eight states alongside 13
CoEs (INDO-ISRAEL agriculture Project Centres of Excellence) within 75
villages and will promote the increase of net income and better the
livelihood of the individual farmer, transforming traditional farms into
modern-intensive farms based on IIAP (INDO-ISRAEL Agriculture Action
Plan) standards. The IIVOEs mainly focus on Modern Agriculture
infrastructure, Capacity Building and Market linkage.

12. MORDERN AGRICULTURE INFRASTRUCTURE IN THE
IIVOEs
In IIVOE, modern agriculture infrastructure refers to pressurized water
transportation from source to field, irrigation system enabling drip
irrigation, Sensors, Precision agriculture solutions, meteorological
stations, nurseries, Agro machinery, packinghouses, Cold-chain facilities,
Transportation and other Agro-technologies.

13. CAPACITY BUILDING IN THE IIVOEs
In IIVOE, Capacity Building strengthens the capacities of farmers, native
and local communities, and their organizations and other investors, to
manage sustainably agricultural biodiversity so as to increase their
benefits, and to promote awareness and responsible action.

14. MARKET LINKAGE IN THE IIVOEs
In IIVOE, Market linkage refers to the link between farmer-vendor,
farmers to market together, digital platform (apps, websites, etc.), direct
marketing including digital marketing platforms.
