The American government exploits privacy for the purpose of looking for clandestine terrorists. This
affects all the citizens that log in, and post updates on a daily basis, when in actuality a piece of their
privacy is being sent to the United States Government. The US government has a very powerful and
watchful eye, within the borders of the nation and the rest of the world. Privacy issues are no
obstacle for Big Brother (U.S. Govt.). Privacy affects many facets of our daily lives; lesser things
have sparked revolutions in the past. Privacy should be the central focusing topic for the public in
this data age for all citizens of the world. Whenever citizens of America, or the world for that matter,

There are several roles that the United States government undertakes, and principle among these
roles is the role of protector. The United States government (hereafter referred to as "government")
is charged with protecting its citizens from dangers, both foreign and domestic. The Declaration of

Foreign private issuers must maintain internal control over financial reporting, and they must
evaluate the effectiveness and changes of the internal control at the end of the company's fiscal year
that may affect the financial reporting. The main goal of the Sarbanes–Oxley Act is to increase
oversight over financial reporting and financial control (Cohen & Broadsky 2004). Ethics are a
major issue which is a reason why the Sarbanes–Oxley Act was implemented. Before the Act, firms
focused on growth but not as much on professional values. Revenue was the driving factor in
auditing firms, and auditors were required to find new clients, keep existing clients, and cross
selling. There were also penalties for not obtaining these requirements which could lead to
termination (Jones III & Norman 2006). Since the Act many organizations have now implemented a
code of conduct (ethics) which sets standards of how an auditor is supposed to act or a place to go to
seek advice on handling different situations. The code of conduct or ethics can be viewed as a way
an organization wants one to act or behave (Canary & Jennings 2007). Since implementation ethics
is being taught more in college classes, and the reason for this is because of the huge scandals that
have occurred. One study showed that the key leadership roles in a company often have a MBA, so
teaching ethics will reach those leaders, and possibly prevent future ethical dilemmas (Sulivan, D.
2010).

Role of Federal Government in Women's status Getting equal rights as men have not been a very
easy journey for women. Throughout the history of United States, women have been suppressed by
men. They were only considered good to be a housewife, and nothing else. Men and surprisingly
enough, some women also believed that women do not have a place in the public sphere and only
men can work outside the home. Soon there were protestors who wanted equal rights as men. When
women were fighting for their rights, on certain occasions, the federal government, especially the
judiciary branch, went against them and did not pass the laws that were beneficial for women.

The Chinese and Iranian laws are not nearly as benign and equal compared to the United States as
they have many different restrictions and discrimination of the people. The 14th Amendment states
that, "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, ... are citizens of the United States and of
the state [where] they reside. No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the
privileges or immunities of citizens... nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or
property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person... the equal protection of the laws." All
of the Amendments put together along with the 14th amendment create a very amiable country
altogether which includes some restrictions in order to keep the people in line. In Iran, "Although
the Constitution states that... no one may be molested or taken to task simply for holding a certain
belief", this is not necessarily true as the people there still hold up the belief that the people should
believe in this or that depending on what religion their basis is. This discrimination still occurs and
the government or the laws aren't doing anything to help the people being discriminated and if a
family from Samsung that were not one of their religion was to move there, they would undergo a
very difficult time living there. The US of A is the best of the three countries because China and Iran
