The Ministry of Environment and Forests in Romania implemented a green house program that provides funding to locals to install renewable energy heating systems and retrofit existing systems. The purpose is to improve air, water, and soil quality by reducing pollution from burning wood and other materials for energy and heating. Funding of up to 6000 RON is provided for solar panels, up to 8000 RON for heat pumps, and up to 6000 RON for biomass heating systems. The program also provides guidelines for eco-citizens to conserve resources through reducing waste and using environmentally-friendly products and services.
