The garments of the high priest included an ephod, a breastpiece for making decisions, a robe, a woven tunic, a turban and sash. The breastpiece contained twelve precious stones representing the twelve tribes of Israel. The high priest wore these holy garments when he entered the tent of meeting or the holy place to minister before the Lord.
