Video games have become a large industry and popular pastime. They are developed through a multi-step process involving designers, programmers, artists and testers. Games can be played on various platforms like PCs, consoles and mobile devices. Main genres include action, sports, strategy and open world games. While gaming provides benefits like improved reflexes and stress relief, disadvantages include potential addiction, inactivity and negative impacts on social life and education. Overall, moderation is important to gain advantages while avoiding downsides.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.
Gopinath Rebala
Gopinath Rebala is the CTO of OpsMx, where he has overall responsibility for the machine learning and data processing architectures for Secure Software Delivery. Gopi also has a strong connection with our customers, leading design and architecture for strategic implementations. Gopi is a frequent speaker and well-known leader in continuous delivery and integrating security into software delivery.

GAMES ARE SET OF RESTRICTIVE

4. AMAZING FACTS
1.The average gamer is not a teenage boy. The average gamer is 31 years
old and could be a man or woman. The largest bracket of gamers fall in the 36+
years old category, and 48% identify as female.
2. Robert Morris University, a private college in Chicago, offers the first
athletic scholarships to gamers The scholarship covers funding for half of the
recipient’s tuition, room and board.
3. Grand Theft Auto V is reported to have cost $265 million to produce.
Upon its release, the game gained $1 billion in sales in just three days.
4.Men and women buy video and computer games equally – 50% men,
50% women. That could make games one of the most egalitarian products in
the world.
5. A gamer abusively knifed in a cs1.6 game chased the one who knifed him for
7 month and stabbed in on his chest fortunately the victim survived
8. OUTSOURCING
Several development disciplines, such as audio, dialogue, or
motion capture, occur for relatively short periods of time. Efficient
employment of these roles requires either large development
house with multiple simultaneous title production or outsourcing
from third-party vendors.[Employing personnel for these tasks full-
time is expensive so a majority of developers outsource a portion
of the work. Outsourcing plans are conceived during the pre-
production stage where the time and finances required for
outsourced work are estimated.
9. MARKETING
The game production has similar distribution methods to those of music
and film industries.[3
The publisher's marketing team targets the game for a specific market
and then advertises it. The team advises the developer on target
demographics and market trends,as well as suggests specific features.
The game is then advertised and the game's high concept is
incorporated into the promotional material, ranging from magazine ads
to TV spots. Communication between developer and marketing is
important
10.
11. GAMING
PLATFORMS
A gaming Platform is really just a fancy
word for a system thats used to play games
on so you could class most computers as
gaming platforms as well as gaming
computers. Xbox 360 Ps3 and Wii are also
classed as a gaming platform.
12. PC AS A GAMING
PLATFORM
The PC (Personal Computer) is a highly
configurable and upgradable gaming
platform that, among home systems,
sports the widest variety of control
methods, largest library of games, and
cutting edge graphics and sound
13. CONSOLE AS GAMING
PLATFORM
A video game console is a device that
outputs a video signal or visual image to
display a video game. The term "video
game console" is used to distinguish a
console machine primarily designed for
consumers to use for playing video games
in contrast to arcade machines or home
computers
14. 1.Keyboard-and-Mouse Is a
Better Controller Than
Any Other Controller
2.PCs Have Higher Graphics
Potential
3.PCs Are More Flexible and
Upgradable
4.PC Gamers Can Mod, and
Mods Make Your Games
Infinitely More Awesome
5.The Price Myth
1.Console games work out of
the box, every time
2.Consoles aren’t computers,
and that’s a good thing
3.Consoles get more
exclusives
4.They’re different beast
5.The CHEAPER Price
16. Action
First-person shooters – Quake, Half-Life, UnReal Tournament
Third person games – In these games you see your avatar on the
screen, usually from behind
Fighting games – Ono-on-one combat with swords, fists and other
hand weapons
Action-adventures – Here the plots are more complex and the
obstacles are puzzles of one kind or another
17. Sports Games
Sports games are the best-selling genre on
consoles, surpassing even action games. The new
genre of extreme sports games – Tony Hawk and
others – have strongly boosted the popularity of this
perennial favorite. Game designers find this genre a
little less appealing because, after all, most of the
game is already designed.
18. Strategy and
War Games
These Real-time Strategy games (RTS) introduced time
pressure along with good sound effects and attractive
animation and opened up this market to a new generation of
enthusiastic players. Strategy games tend to require
complicated user interfaces, and for that reason they’re
mostly found on the PC
19. Vehicle Simulators
Vehicle simulators are games about driving or
flying – cars, motorcycles, civilian and military
aircraft, tanks and science-fiction vehicles all
qualify in this category. Even a game like Drakkan,
which is about flying around on a dragon, is
essentially a vehicle simulator. Some of them are
first-person and some are third-person, but most
are switchable between camera angles.
20. Open world games
Open world is a term for video games where a
player can move freely through a virtual world and
is given considerable freedom in regards to how or
when to approach objectives, as opposed to other
computer games that have a more linear structure
to its gameplay
22. DISADVANTAGES OF
GAMING
Results in an Inactive social life
An unhealthy addiction
Makes you vulnerable to cyber crimes
Has an ill effect on education
Can cause depression
Can lead to insomnia
Creates tendency to skip meals
