Part I. The Fundamentals
The United Nations Environmental Protection (UNEP) has core values that guide its strategic planning and decisions. They are; respect for diversity, professionalism, and integrity. They should be practiced and upheld by every individual working for or allied to the organization as means of fostering the organization’s culture. Respect for diversity means that the organization is committed to upholding diversity in all areas including human diversity such as treating men and women equally. Integrity means that the organization’s decisions and acts are carried out in a manner which is for the common good and not for personal gain (Ivanova, 2010). Professionalism entails demonstrating professional competence as well as mastery of subject matter when implementing strategic decisions.
The core values are aligned with advocacy, leadership, and social change. UNEP professionally advocates for various methods that ensure the environment is not exposed to harm by humans. For instance, it recommends ways through which carbon emissions by automobiles can be reduced. More so, it researches and presents findings on climate change and global warming. For instance, its 2017 report indicated that the emission gap could not be closed by 2030 as predicted (The Emissions Gap Report 2017, 2017). Essentially, the organization has been advocating for most effective strategies that can be implemented in curbing climate change and global warming while also evaluating whether laid measures are giving promising results.
The core values are aligned with leadership as the organization serves as the role model that other organizations and people want to follow. More so, UNEP has been leading the way while showing courage through taking the unpopular stands to realize change and improvement. Further, UNEP has been proactive in developing leadership strategies that help translate vision into results through partnering with other bodies and agencies. Essentially, the organization has shown leadership in the way it relates with other internal and external parties.
UNEP has also aligned its core values with social change. It is a major organization that has promoted measures against climate change. For instance, the organization has been offering civic education on bioenergy sources which have been proven more effective and less harmful on the environment. Social change is being attained through putting in place measures that protect the environment from harm hence upholding diversity which is part of the societies. Providing civic education has been impactful in changing lives as the organization enables individuals to utilize resources mor ...

Noli Me Tangere” was written by Jose Rizal during his stay in Europe and was completed in 1887.
It exposed the social and political injustices in the Philippines under Spanish colonial rule. The novel’s content was critical of the Spanish friars and colonial administration, making it controversial and potentially dangerous to publish during that time.
Rizal initially attempted to get the novel published in the Philippines, but due to its sensitive content, no local printer or publisher would take the risk. When the Spanish authorities became aware of the novel’s existence and its content, they immediately took measures to ban it in the Philippines. Possession and distribution of the book became illegal, and anyone caught with a copy could face severe consequences, including imprisonment or exile.

Critically evaluate anthropological perspectives of community leadership, [up...intel-writers.com
Anthropological perspectives of community leadership
provide valuable insights into the study of leadership within different cultural and social contexts.
These perspectives emphasize the importance of understanding leadership as a complex social phenomenon that is deeply embedded in cultural norms, values, and power dynamics.
However, they also have their limitations and challenges.
a critical evaluation of anthropological perspectives of community leadership:
1. Cultural Relativism: Anthropological perspectives often emphasize cultural relativism, acknowledging that leadership practices and expectations vary across different cultures. This approach highlights the need to understand leadership within its specific cultural context and avoid imposing external standards or norms. However, this can sometimes lead to a lack of critical analysis and a reluctance to evaluate leadership practices based on universal principles of ethics and social justice.
2. Power Dynamics: Anthropological perspectives recognize the centrality of power dynamics in leadership within communities. They emphasize the ways in which leaders navigate and negotiate power relationships within their social, economic, and political contexts. This critical lens helps to uncover inequalities, hierarchies, and oppressive structures that can influence community leadership. However, these perspectives may not provide concrete solutions or strategies for addressing power imbalances or transforming oppressive leadership practices.
Whale stocks negatively impacted on marine production {updated 2023].docxintel-writers.com
While it is true that certain whale stocks can have a negative impact on marine production,
it is important to note that the overall relationship between whales and marine production is complex and multifaceted.
1. Overfishing: Some species of whales, such as baleen whales, are filter feeders that consume large amounts of small marine organisms, including plankton and krill. These organisms form the base of the marine food chain and support the productivity of the oceans. When whale populations are significantly reduced or depleted due to factors such as historical whaling or illegal hunting, it can disrupt the natural balance of the ecosystem and potentially lead to overpopulation of certain prey species.
2. Trophic Cascades: Whales play a crucial role in marine ecosystems through what is known as trophic cascades. As top predators, they help regulate the population sizes and behavior of their prey species. By keeping certain prey populations in check, whales indirectly promote the health and diversity of lower trophic levels, including commercially important fish species. The absence or decline of whale populations can disrupt these cascading effects, potentially leading to imbalances within the ecosystem.

"Understanding the Carbon Cycle: Processes, Human Impacts, and Strategies for...MMariSelvam4
The carbon cycle is a critical component of Earth's environmental system, governing the movement and transformation of carbon through various reservoirs, including the atmosphere, oceans, soil, and living organisms. This complex cycle involves several key processes such as photosynthesis, respiration, decomposition, and carbon sequestration, each contributing to the regulation of carbon levels on the planet.
Human activities, particularly fossil fuel combustion and deforestation, have significantly altered the natural carbon cycle, leading to increased atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations and driving climate change. Understanding the intricacies of the carbon cycle is essential for assessing the impacts of these changes and developing effective mitigation strategies.
By studying the carbon cycle, scientists can identify carbon sources and sinks, measure carbon fluxes, and predict future trends. This knowledge is crucial for crafting policies aimed at reducing carbon emissions, enhancing carbon storage, and promoting sustainable practices. The carbon cycle's interplay with climate systems, ecosystems, and human activities underscores its importance in maintaining a stable and healthy planet.
In-depth exploration of the carbon cycle reveals the delicate balance required to sustain life and the urgent need to address anthropogenic influences. Characterization and the Kinetics of drying at the drying oven and with micro...Open Access Research Paper
The objective of this work is to contribute to valorization de Nephelium lappaceum by the characterization of kinetics of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum. The seeds were dehydrated until a constant mass respectively in a drying oven and a microwawe oven. The temperatures and the powers of drying are respectively: 50, 60 and 70°C and 140, 280 and 420 W. The results show that the curves of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum do not present a phase of constant kinetics. The coefficients of diffusion vary between 2.09.10-8 to 2.98. 10-8m-2/s in the interval of 50°C at 70°C and between 4.83×10-07 at 9.04×10-07 m-8/s for the powers going of 140 W with 420 W the relation between Arrhenius and a value of energy of activation of 16.49 kJ. mol-1 expressed the effect of the temperature on effective diffusivity.
Diabetes is a rapidly and serious health problem in Pakistan. This chronic condition is associated with serious long-term complications, including higher risk of heart disease and stroke. Aggressive treatment of hypertension and hyperlipideamia can result in a substantial reduction in cardiovascular events in patients with diabetes 1. Consequently pharmacist-led diabetes cardiovascular risk (DCVR) clinics have been established in both primary and secondary care sites in NHS Lothian during the past five years. An audit of the pharmaceutical care delivery at the clinics was conducted in order to evaluate practice and to standardize the pharmacists’ documentation of outcomes. Pharmaceutical care issues (PCI) and patient details were collected both prospectively and retrospectively from three DCVR clinics. The PCI`s were categorized according to a triangularised system consisting of multiple categories. These were ‘checks’, ‘changes’ (‘change in drug therapy process’ and ‘change in drug therapy’), ‘drug therapy problems’ and ‘quality assurance descriptors’ (‘timer perspective’ and ‘degree of change’). A verified medication assessment tool (MAT) for patients with chronic cardiovascular disease was applied to the patients from one of the clinics. The tool was used to quantify PCI`s and pharmacist actions that were centered on implementing or enforcing clinical guideline standards. A database was developed to be used as an assessment tool and to standardize the documentation of achievement of outcomes. Feedback on the audit of the pharmaceutical care delivery and the database was received from the DCVR clinic pharmacist at a focus group meeting.

The environmental responsibility updated 2023 doc 9.docx
1. The environmental responsibility updated 2023
With all the political jargon floating around these days, one term you will often hear is “talking
points.” This refers to a series of themes or ideas which one side or the other wants to focus on in
order to get their message across.
Assume that you will be called to make a speech to a local committee or board on a political,
social, or environmental issue that affects your local community and on
which you would like to make a positive impact for the benefit of the community as a whole (see
Dimension 3 in the reading from Module
4). Ideally, as you plan your
talking points, strive to identify a real political, social, or environmental problem in your local
area that needs community attention.
Identifying a real problem will help
guide your research. Issues could range from requesting a later start time for high school students
to dealing with crumbling city water pipes creating the threat of
lead poisoning to issues with community policing, panhandling, or corruption in township
government. Scan your local newspaper (online or in print) to get ideas–or
just talk to your neighbors. Then based on your research into this issue, develop a list of at least
five reasons why this issue needs more attention from the local
community and conclude with at least two suggestions for what the community can do to raise
awareness or begin to fix the problem.
Explain the nature of the issue, its need for more attention, and your possible solutions.
Environmental responsibility
2. refers to the ethical and moral duty of individuals, organizations, and society as a whole to

environmental responsibility. Adopting sustainable business practices, minimizing
environmental impact, and promoting transparency and accountability are crucial. This
includes reducing greenhouse gas emissions, implementing environmentally friendly
technologies, and ensuring responsible sourcing and manufacturing processes.
4. 8. Environmental Legislation and Regulation: Governments play a vital role in enforcing
environmental responsibility through legislation and regulations. These measures set
standards and guidelines for industries, enforce pollution control measures, and promote
sustainable development. Compliance with environmental laws is essential for upholding
environmental responsibility at both individual and organizational levels.
9. Long-Term Thinking: Environmental responsibility involves considering the long-term
consequences of our actions on the environment and future generations. It requires
adopting a sustainable mindset and making decisions that prioritize the well-being of the
planet and its ecosystems over short-term gains. This includes embracing the principles
of intergenerational equity and planning for a sustainable future.
