This document outlines a 3-stage process for competency development of a group consisting of 5 members. Stage 1 involves data gathering and preparation like studying identified jobs, identifying skills, and probable competencies. Stage 2 is data analysis where competencies are reviewed, defined, and assigned proficiency levels. Stage 3 is validation that includes validating content and refining competency definitions if needed. The process impacts interpersonal, personal, and team competencies.

Diagnostic assessment:
The assessment in the form quiz, test, surveys, to know information about student’s strengths and weakness. Formative assessment:
The assessment used by the teachers to know the students learning about the currently taught lesson.
Summative assessment:
It is used to evaluate students learning process and achievement at the conclusion of a specific instructional period, usually at the end semester, school year etc.Assessment expert Paul Black put it;
“When the cook tastes the soup, that’s formative assessment. When the customer tastes the soup that’s summative assessment.”
Ipsative assessment:
Raymond Cattell coined the word Ipsative for Latin word ipse meaning “himself,”
The assessment that compares current performance with previous performance is called Ipsative assessment. . Norm-referenced assessment:
It is type of assessment that assesses the test taker's ability and performance against the other test takers.
Criterion-referenced assessment:
It is type of assessment that assesses the test taker ability to understand a set curriculum.
