This document from Ipsos provides context and resources on the challenges of plastic packaging and waste. It references reports by Ipsos and other organizations on growing global concerns about plastic waste and the environmental impact. Ipsos and the World Economic Forum have partnered to address this issue through the Platform for Accelerating the Circular Economy, which aims to enable systems change. The partnership highlights the global scale of the plastic waste problem.

Plastic Waste Management and Recycling Technology : P1Vignesh Sekar
The main objective of this presentation is to emphasise the reduced use of plastic and the beneficial management of plastic waste. This also includes alternative measures for the substitution of the synthetic polymers. Efficient transformation of plastic into energy and fuel. Controlling the impact of plastic waste on the environment. Making our environment an eco-friendly zone.
Eco friendly food packaging is a necessary step towards a green future.
Packaging is necessary part of our globalized economy. Unfortunately, the high consumption of products alongside bad manufacturing processes can have negative consequences on the environment. Luckily, new technologies are allowing packaging to become greener and more eco-friendly each year giving us an environmental responsible & sustainable option.
Plastic is all around us. It forms much of the packaging for our food and drink. For many of us, it is throughout our home, our workplace, our car, the bus we take to and from work. It can be in our clothing, eyeglasses, teeth, toothbrush, computers, phones, dishes, utensils, toys. The list goes on, especially when you look around and begin to notice the plastic in your life.
Plastic is versatile, lightweight, flexible, moisture resistant, durable, strong and relatively inexpensive. It can be chemical resistant, clear or opaque, and practically unbreakable. These are wonderful useful qualities, and plastic plays many important roles in life on Earth, but the widespread use of plastic is also causing unprecedented environmental problems, and harbours serious health risks . Plastic should be used wisely, with caution and only when suitable alternatives do not exist or are not available.

Valuing Plastic: The Business Case for Measuring, Managing, and Disclosing Pl...Sustainable Brands
Download the full report from: http://bit.ly/PDPreport2014
The objective of this report is to help companies manage the opportunities and risks associated with plastic use. It articulates the business case for companies to improve their measurement, disclosure and management of plastic use in their designs, operations and supply chains. In order to provide a sense of scale, the report sets out to quantify the physical impacts of plastic use translated into monetary terms. This metric can be seen as the current value-at-risk to a company, should these external impacts be realised internally through mechanisms like strengthened regulation, loss of market share, or increased price of raw materials and energy. This metric can also be used to help understand the magnitude of the opportunities, and the tangible benefits to stakeholders, including shareholders, of using plastic in an environmentally sustainable way.
Partnerships for the Goals - 11 Best Practice Examples from the Chemicals Ind...Finch & Beak
The chemicals industry may be one of the most active sectors when it comes to collaborating and partnering, particularly in (open) innovation models. However, sector-wide industry data from eRevalue on what chemical companies report on in terms of SDGs showed that reporting on goals 9 (industry, innovation and infrastructure) and 17 (partnerships for the goals) stays far behind.
Are chemical players being too modest, or take this for granted? We have selected a number of partnerships that illustrate how the industry collaborates in order to create impact across a range of the sector’s most material Sustainable Development Goals.

The objective of this work is to contribute to valorization de Nephelium lappaceum by the characterization of kinetics of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum. The seeds were dehydrated until a constant mass respectively in a drying oven and a microwawe oven. The temperatures and the powers of drying are respectively: 50, 60 and 70°C and 140, 280 and 420 W. The results show that the curves of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum do not present a phase of constant kinetics. The coefficients of diffusion vary between 2.09.10-8 to 2.98. 10-8m-2/s in the interval of 50°C at 70°C and between 4.83×10-07 at 9.04×10-07 m-8/s for the powers going of 140 W with 420 W the relation between Arrhenius and a value of energy of activation of 16.49 kJ. mol-1 expressed the effect of the temperature on effective diffusivity.
"Understanding the Carbon Cycle: Processes, Human Impacts, and Strategies for...MMariSelvam4
The carbon cycle is a critical component of Earth's environmental system, governing the movement and transformation of carbon through various reservoirs, including the atmosphere, oceans, soil, and living organisms. This complex cycle involves several key processes such as photosynthesis, respiration, decomposition, and carbon sequestration, each contributing to the regulation of carbon levels on the planet.
Human activities, particularly fossil fuel combustion and deforestation, have significantly altered the natural carbon cycle, leading to increased atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations and driving climate change. Understanding the intricacies of the carbon cycle is essential for assessing the impacts of these changes and developing effective mitigation strategies.
By studying the carbon cycle, scientists can identify carbon sources and sinks, measure carbon fluxes, and predict future trends. This knowledge is crucial for crafting policies aimed at reducing carbon emissions, enhancing carbon storage, and promoting sustainable practices. The carbon cycle's interplay with climate systems, ecosystems, and human activities underscores its importance in maintaining a stable and healthy planet.
In-depth exploration of the carbon cycle reveals the delicate balance required to sustain life and the urgent need to address anthropogenic influences. Through research, education, and policy, we can work towards restoring equilibrium in the carbon cycle and ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come.

There have been such several cases from very big companies here in Kenya and also globally. This ranges from various sectors from manufacturing and goes to consumer products. Educating people on greenwashing will enable people to make better choices based on their analysis and not on what they see on marketing sites.
