The document discusses the chakra system, which describes seven major energy centers (chakras) located along the spinal column. Each chakra corresponds to a different aspect of human experience and is associated with a specific color. The chakras are said to process spiritual and physical energy and support various human functions like communication, emotions, and intuition. While not physical objects, the chakras can be conceptualized as existing in locations on the body and are proposed to relate to different endocrine glands and physiological systems. Kundalini energy is also described as a primal force that can awaken and flow between the chakras through nadi energy channels like the sushumna.

"For nothing in secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither anything hid, that shall not become broad." Luke 8:17 (KJV) - meaning, nothing is concealed that will not be made known! And NOTHING IS HIDDEN THAT WILL NOT BE EXPOSED!
Everyone knows that the most famous literary masterpieces are metaphorical, and The King James Book of Revelation is no exception. King James created a cinematic masterpiece with an all-star cast, that would cloud the minds of its readers for centuries to come. With the help of many notorious experts, the mysteries in Revelation have been intricately dissected, inspected and translated to give the clearest, most enriching physical and metaphysical explanations possible. The "coincidences" revealed cannot be denied and these elucidations are not for the faint-hearted.
The second chakra is the chakra of creativity, pure attention and pure knowledge. It is the one which connects us to the inner source of inspiration and enables us to experience the beauty around us. This is also the center of pure, steady attention and power of concentration. On the physical level it looks after our liver, kidneys and the lower abdomen. When we think too much, this center gets drained of energy and damage to the chakra occurs.
Eastern philosophy and medicine, originating in ancient India and China, have traditionally regarded body structures and the life processes occurring within as inseparable. Their terminology resides halfway between structure and function and identifies certain entities in the human body, representing the flow of life energy and, in some sense, conduits for that flow that do not correspond to anatomical structures recognized by Western science and medicine. The chakras are the energy centers in a person’s biological field and are responsible for his or her physiological and psychological condition as well as certain groups of organs. All vital functions of the human body are determined by energy that spins in the chakras. These can be defined as
“whirlpools referred,” and in Indian, they are considered “energy bursts” or “wheels.”
The process of energy transformation happens exactly in these centers. Vital energy, along with blood, circulates around the meridians in the chakras and fuels all organs and systems in the human body. When the circulation in these meridians stagnates, the human body becomes susceptible to various disorders. An excellent preventative method, designed explicitly to battle such stagnation is Chi Gun, an ancient Chinese method for self-healing which activates the energy centers. Chi Gun teaches people to release the energy themselves by massaging specific areas corresponding to the different chakras.

In tantra or the tantric traditions, from which the concept derives, chakra, meaning the wheel in Sanskrit, is the focal point for meditation within the human body. Because they are visualised as structures of energy resembling discs or flowers at those points where a number of channels converge, they are conceptualised in the subtle body.
The history of chakra meditation can be traced back to the Vedic tradition of India. The Vedas are a collection of ancient texts that are the foundation of Hinduism, the chakras are mentioned in the Vedas, a collection of sacred texts that date back to 1500 BCE. In the Vedas, the word “chakra” comes from the Sanskrit word for “wheel” or “circle,” and it refers to the seven energy centers in the body that are said to be connected to our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being, the chakras are described as vortexes of energy that are connected to the physical and spiritual body.

Chakra meditation is a profound practice that offers a multitude of benefits for our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. By focusing on balancing and activating our energy centers, we can tap into the transformative potential of chakra meditation and experience profound positive changes in our lives.
The Muladhara Chakra is the foundation of body energy. Muladhara is made up of two words Moola + Aadhaar. Where mool means root and aadhaar means foundation. Nowadays people think that Muladhara is the lowest chakra, so it is not so important. Anyone who thinks that there is no need to pay attention to the basics is surely in delusion. Just like the foundation of a structure is most important, similarly, Muladhara is the most important chakra. When we do yoga, we focus on the foundation more than anything else. Because if you have asserted and stabilized it, building the rest becomes easy. If we try to erect a building with a weak foundation, it will be like a circus. This is what has happened with human life. To put yourself in a state of balance and peace today is a circus for most people. But if your core is strong, then come life or die, you will stand because your shadow is strong and we can fix the rest. But if the wound is wobbly, then the concern is natural.
The Emotion field is part of our field of consciousness. We need to be aware of this and act accordingly so that we allow ourselves to experience our emotions in a way that is effective.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

3. The chakras are spoken of as
both actual centres and as
metaphors for the way our minds
and bodies work together. It is the
metaphoric qualities, expressed
through visual art, meditations,
physical exercises, and theory
that create the inner experience
that is the true reality of this
ancient system.
Wheels of Life (1993:3)
The first six chakras are the
information storage system for the
body. Each disk carries the
programming for the activity at that
centre. When our attention is
focused at a particular level our
bio-computer is running on that
particular program.
Wheels of Life (1993:389)
4. There are seven major chakras in
the human body, and also
numerous less-important minor
ones. The chakras are energy
centres, points of energy flow, and
act as energy junctions in the
body. They are energy processing
centres, and the chakra system
(comprised of the seven major
chakras) is our energetic
connection to the realm of pure
consciousness and our spiritual
essence. The energetic operations
in them are what make every
aspect of our bodily, emotional,
mental and spiritual life possible.
Each of the seven major chakras,
or primary energy centres, has its
own character and corresponds to
a unique aspect of our being. They
are patterns of energy, and are
shaped something like funnels or
whirlpools of energy. Their
vortices lie inside the body, along
the spinal cord (which
corresponds to a central energy
channel) and up into the head

6. The chakras do not actually exist
as “objects” in the physical body
(they are actually energy patterns)
but there are certain specific
locations on the body, where you
will place your hands, that
correspond to the chakras, five
along the spine, and two on the
head. Each chakra also has a
certain true colour of the visible
light spectrum associated with it—
the intrinsic colour of the chakra.
Because the chakras are spiritual
entities, it is impossible to convey
a complete explanation of the
nature of each chakra in words
alone,
7. All around you, and throughout
the entire universe, circulates the
life energy. It exists not only as an
energy field around every living
thing, but also circulates through
the earth, through the
atmosphere around us, and in
nature. The flow of this energy
connects everything that exists,
and you, as a living being, are
taking in this life energy at every
moment.
8. A Chakra is a Sanskrit word that
literally translates as "wheel" or
"disk". It is an eastern concept of
Indian origin that chakras are
treated as "energy vortexes", and
their sacred balance is crucial to
our physical,mental,emotional,
and spiritual well being.
Each of the seven chakras has both a front
(usually dominant) component, and a rear
(usually less dominant) component, which are
intimately related. The seventh and first
chakras, though, are usually represented and
thought of as having only the one dominant
component, as it is far, far more significant
than the weaker component in these two
chakras. The seventh chakra extends vertically
upwards above the head. The first chakra
extends forwards from the base of the spine,
and downwards, at roughly a 45 degree angle,
although its exact position will vary from
person to person.
9. Sahasrara/The Crown Chakra:
Located at the top of the head.
The crown chakra is linked to
understanding, cosmic
consciousness, and ability to
eventually achieve
enlightenment.
1
Its role may be envisioned
somewhat similarly to that of
the pituitary gland, which
secretes Emanuel hormones to
communicate to the rest of the
endocrine system and also
connects to the central nervous
system via the hypothalamus.
The thalamus is thought to
have a key role in the physical
basis of consciousness.
10. Ajna/The Third Eye Chakra:
Located at the middle of the
forehead. The third eye chakra is
directly linked to an individual’s
clairvoyance or psychic abilities
and intuition.
2
is linked to the pineal gland
which may inform a model of its
envisioning. The pineal gland is
a light sensitive gland that
produces the hormone
melatonin which regulates
sleep and waking up.
11. Vishuddha/The Throat Chakra:
Located at the throat. A person
with a strong and balanced throat
chakra will have good
communication skills and
creativity.
3
This chakra is paralleled to the
thyroid, a gland that is also in
the throat and which produces
thyroid hormone, responsible
for growth and maturation.
12. 4
Anahata/The Heart Chakra:
Located at the center of the chest,
a person with a healthy heart
chakra will have a strong ability to
love his or herself as well as
others. It is also the center of
hope and compassion.
is related to the thymus, located
in the chest. The thymus is an
element of the immune system
as well as being part of the
endocrine system. It is the site
of maturation of the T cells
responsible for fending off
disease and may be adversely
affected by stress.
13. 5
Manipura/The Solar Plexus
Chakra: Located at the solar
plexus. This chakra is the center
of energy,vitality, desire, and
power.
is related to the metabolic and
digestive systems. Manipura is
believed to correspond to Islets
of Langerhans,[35] which are
groups of cells in the pancreas,
as well as the outer adrenal
glands and the adrenal cortex.
These play a valuable role in
digestion, the conversion of
food matter into energy for the
body
14. 6
Svadisthana/The Sacral Chakra:
Located just below the belly
button. This chakra is the source
of emotions,sexuality, and
intimacy.
is located in the sacrum (hence
the name) and is considered to
correspond to the testes or the
ovaries that produce the
various sex hormones involved
in the reproductive cycle.
Svadisthana is also considered
to be related to, more generally,
the genitourinary system and
the adrenals.
A parallel is charted between
the sperm cell and the ovum
where the genetic code lies
coiled and the kundalini.
15. 7
Muladhara/The Root Chakra:
Located at the base of the spine.
This is where your survival
instinct comes from. It is also a
source of security and grounding.
is related to instinct, security,
survival and also to basic
human potentiality. This centre
is located in the region between
the genitals and the anus.
Although no endocrine organ is
placed here, it is said to relate
to the gonads and the adrenal
medulla, responsible for the
fight-or-flight response when
survival is under threat.
16. Kundalini energy
is nothing but the natural energy of the
Self, where Self is the universal
consciousness (Parramatta) present in
every being, and that the individual mind of
thoughts cloaks this natural energy from
unadulterated expression. Circumstances
that stimulate Kundalini awakening are
many and varied, but are usually triggered
by such things as extended periods of
meditation, yoga, fasting, stress, trauma,
psychedelic drugs, or near death
experiences. Kundalini is a condensed,
primal force, similar to the potential energy
found in water. When released, it creates a
vertical connection between the chakras
by opening the subtle channels known as
nadi, most specifically, the central channel
that moves up the spine called sushumna.
If we put water through a small hose at
very high pressure, the end of the hose will
undulate like a snake. Similarly, the
intense energy of Kundalini undulates in
the body as it rises through the chakras.
17. Subtle energy channels through
which, in traditional Indian
medicine and spiritual science,
the energies of the subtle body
are said to flow. They connect
at special points of intensity
called chakras. Nadis seem to
correspond to the meridians of
traditional Chinese medicine.
Nadi
18. sushumna.
Runs up and down the central axis
of the body within the spine,
between the crown (top of the
head) and Sacrum (base chakra).
The Sushumna is also connected to
all seven primary chakras via the
“stems” which provides each
chakra with this vital energy. This
primary current runs between the
Sun and Earth.
This current induces other currents
at right angles to itself which flow
between the spine and the outer
edges of our etheric (aura) body.
