2. This female character represents a self-loving teenager. She’s wearing
lots of make up which could suggest she is popular in the school. By
wearing a heavy amount of make up could be to impress the boys in the
school, if she’s popular then she may get a lot of male attention. It also
looks like she’s done her hair which links with the attention she wants to
receive. She’s wearing a leather jacket which suggests wealth, popularity
and how she cares about her appearance. Her father also looks to be
wearing a blazer which could suggest he’s sophisticated and also has
money to spend.

3. This male character is represented a typical teenager. He comes across as a boy
who has support on his school life from his parents. His mum says “ well sit in
there and use the time to your advantage.” This illustrates that his mother can
see a positive in the negative situation and that cares about the education of
her son. He seems like a teenager who doesn’t like school and doesn’t want to
be there. He looks like a kind of geek by the clothes he’s wearing and is doing
well in school. His mum looks like a typical mum of the time period by her hair
style and overcoat. This suggests their and average family and are financially
stable. He looks like He’s not extremely popular and fits in with everybody else.

4. This male character is also represented as a typical teenager. He
doesn’t look like he cares about the situation by not looking at his
father suggests that he could be in detention a lot and this
situation happens regularly so he doesn’t care what his dad’s
saying. However it could be completely opposite and suggest that
he’s normally well behaved and tries hard in school and that’s why
his facial expression is dull because he knows that this situation
could and should have been avoided. This family also looks like the
average family with financial stability.

5. This male character is represented as the rebel. We can clearly see that he doesn’t
care about anything and can’t be bothered to attend the detention. He nearly
get’s hit by the car which also suggests he’s unaware of his surroundings. Ho looks
like his family don’t have much money as he’s wearing scabby and well worn
clothing. He’s also wearing sunglasses even though everybody’s wearing thick
coats which suggests it’s cold. The glasses cover his identity and prevents the
audience seeing his full face. He also looks late to the detention because there is
nobody about and only one car.
