3. Checking the horses Most of our horses and ponies live outside in small herds. We need to check they are well and see to their rugs if they wear them.
4. Feeding time All animals are catered for individually. Some may also be on medication which needs to be given regularly and recorded.
5. Cleaning We clean out thoroughly every morning and then clean up any poo as it occurs throughout the day.
6. Opening time The public keep us busy with enquiries and by rehoming our animals
7. Training Training makes animals easier to rehome and keeps their minds active whilst they are staying with us.
8. Playing Play is an important exercise for the mind and body and keeps the animals happy.
9. Grooming Grooming helps to keep the fur clean, it gets the animal used to being handled and we can give them a health check at the same time.
10. Health care All our animals are checked by a vet and treatment is given, if necessary. All dogs, cats, horses and rabbits are microchipped All dogs, cats, rabbits and male horses are neutered before rehoming.
The National Lottery does not fund animal welfare projects unless the animals are helping people. EG Guide Dogs may be a grant as the dogs assist the owner.
