• Elementary students in 1st grade
• 19 students
• 16 students are white
• 2 students are Hispanic
• 1 African American
• All speak English
Objective
• Students will be given one of the five senses
for each day of the week. They will be given
activities such as games, listening activities,
creating a hand, and taste testing. Students
will be able to comprehend and vocalize all
five senses with 100 percent accuracy by the
end of the unit.
Daily Schedule
Monday:
Smell - scented items
Tuesday:
Sight- mirror, magnifying glass
Wednesday:
Hearing – noises of animals, music
Thursday :
Taste – different foods, no allergies
Friday:
Touch – hand with different textures
• Recap at the beginning of each day
