The Asian Apprenticeship Awards was launched in March 2016 to celebrate the talent and diversity of under-represented British Asian Apprentices, their Employers and Training Providers. Apprenticeships have been seen as a secondary route for British Asians with the perception that University is the primary way for leading a successful career. This correlates with the current representation of British Asian apprentices with the starts of 2016/2017 - that being 4.1%. The 2017 awards brought together cross industry and sector leaders from across the country supporting not just the event, but the cause behind it. With over 60% of our audience at C-level or Managerial level, there was a high level of influence in the room - a significant increase from 2016.Our awards fits into a larger discussion around Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) representation within the labour market. There has been a demand for diverse workforces, not just for the local and national demographic representation, but for the economic benefits. For the economy to thrive, diversity is key. Full representation of BAME individuals within workforces across the UK would be worth £24bn per year to the economy.Employers and Training Providers are recognising this and are bringing out initiatives to boost diverse representation.

The BAME Apprenticeship Awards aims to showcase the range of talent and hard work within the BAME communities which will be made possible with the contribution of employers and learning providers who share these beliefs.
The Asian Apprenticeship Awards has completed its third year in operation since being founded in 2016, and our aim hasn’t changed: to celebrate the talent and diversity of British Asian Apprentices, their Employers and Training Providers.Since inception, we have noticed a significant transition among those within the skills sector about some of the stigmas behind apprenticeships within British Asian and BAME communities generally. Through the support of the Government and key partner organisations, we have been able to use this platform to propel our message into new communities across the country to encourage more people from British Asian communities to consider an apprenticeship route.2018 also saw a sectoral shift response with a 25% increase in involvement from employers compared with training providers and FE colleges which saw a decrease. The male and female split among finalists was quite interesting. Generally, females outweighed males in many of the sectors. However, the gender balance overall was affected by the male dominated sectors of Construction and Engineering & Manufacturing. When speaking with sector leaders, this was no surprise.“It is really disappointing to see the proportion of finalist as 100% male in Construction as well as Engineering and Manufacturing. Whilst recognising that a large proportion of the workforce in these two sectors are male there are still a significant number of females employed and many of these are excellent and well deserving of a place in the finals. The popularity of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is growing. In a country like Saudi Arabia, CSR initiatives are driven by strong socio-cultural factors which already promote CSR values. Traditionally seen as a philanthropic practice, most businesses now understand the value it adds to the bottom line.
A recent study done by Informa Middle East, with over 150 CSR experts and professionals, revealed several key CSR trends in the Kingdom. These trends encapsulate the current status and the future potential of the sector in Saudi.
About BAME Apprenticeship Awards
Previously the Asian Apprenticeship Awards, the BAME Apprenticeship Awards aims to showcase talent and diversity within BAME communities through the celebration of those working hard to overcome adversity to achieve their goals through apprenticeships. The awards highlight the achievements of apprentices and the contribution of employers and learning providers who have assisted them along their journey.
Our findings were that several factors contributed to this, some which focussed on apprenticeships themselves and others around diversity. From our research we found that:
Apprenticeships were seen negatively
There was a lack of understanding of apprenticeships
More focus and pressure was being put on going to university
No positive apprentice role models
We used this as the basis for us to set up the Awards because we felt that an Awards would be the most effective means of inspiring excellence and sharing best practice as well as creating more opportunities for those involved.

mentioning that the current pandemic has helped our
business by accelerating its growth.
As 100% of our employees are working from home
seamlessly for over 9 months now, we find them more
efficient and productive. Since there is no need to travel to
and from the office every day, they have more time at their
disposal to spend with their family which is making them
happier. We are seriously considering letting most of our
employees continue to work from home even when the
current pandemic is over.

CIO Team: Where do you envision your organization to
be in the long run and what are your future goals?
CM: Our vision is to grow this company many folds in a
short period of time. We will also be actively pursuing an
inorganic growth strategy for embarking on our growth
journey. Earlier this year, we successfully completed an
acquisition of a Chicago, IL based financial services
company for our non-profit vertical and are always looking
for more acquisition opportunities to achieve our objective
of making Quatrro a leading provider of tech-enabled back
office services.
In our endeavor to continuously add value to our clients, we
keep investing in upgrading our technology and tools. We
have our own proprietary tool, QPort and cutting-edge
Business Intelligence (BI) tool that provide our clients with
greater insights and information to pair with our world-class
service.
This tool enables our clients to have as much, or as little,
control and involvement as they choose to have in the
processes, they have outsourced to us. Our QPort is a CRM
and automated accounts payable (AP) workflow tool that
not only automates the AP approval process but also
provides financial statement drill-down functionality to
transaction level detail, including image of invoices.
Our BI tool provides complete real-time, actionable insight
into the financial performance of the business through CFO
dashboard, analytics, charts, and graphs at the click of a
button. We are making our technology mobile friendly and
platform agnostic so that it can work with any ERP and
accounting platform, be it Microsoft Dynamics, Great
Plains, SAP, NetSuite, or Sage.
As we have been working with more private equity firms
over the last year by providing outsourced accounting
service for their portfolio companies, we have heard
repeatedly about a pain point for these groups where they
are spending an extraordinary amount of time on building
financial models in Excel – and even those still are not
completely meeting all of their needs. So, we have created a
very comprehensive, dynamic financial modeling tool that
these firms can use for evaluating potential
investments/acquisitions.
They can run various sensitivities and do scenario planning
through our proprietary financial modeling tool. We are also
building out our capabilities to prepare financial statements
for public companies including preparing 10-Q and 10-K.
On the Technical Support side of our business, we have
invested heavily in upgrading our IT infrastructure and
purchasing the latest technology tools, such as Zendesk
omni channel ticketing platform and Cisco UCCX omni
channel platform to strength our capabilities in technical

be a huge opportunity for consultants, as
organisations will be ready to spend more on digital
projects. Consultants who can help organisations in
digitization and cost cutting will always be in demand.
The Covid-19 pandemic had hit consulting industry hard in
the first quarter of 2019 financial year, but employers are
back with their hiring plans and started hiring for key roles.
Some organisations are looking to cut costs whereas others
expanding/creating new roles. The situation had led to
cautious hiring and created an opportunity for new roles in
the organisations.
With the new hiring strategy in place, all recruitment and
onboarding activities are virtual, this means you will not
meet any candidate personally and no human connect while
onboarding. This is presenting organisations with new
challenges, but as the acceptance is from both sides it has
become quite easier to handle.
As we may not be able to meet anyone personally and will
have to assess a candidate virtually, Psychometric
