Fusion Cloud Data Centers: a new high tech frontierfestival ICT 2016

- The solutions are intended to help MSPs quickly provision secure multi-tenant environments, develop new service offerings, and meet service level agreements, while controlling costs and supporting multiple technology platforms.
Mahindra Group has a history of global collaboration and pioneering globalization. Its purpose is to challenge conventional thinking and enable stakeholders to rise. Tech Mahindra is a leader in engineering for next-gen connected solutions and the internet of things. It provides connected engineering and analytics services across industries like automotive, healthcare, smart cities, and renewable energy to manage the changing world.
The document discusses trends in cloud network technology, deployment, and security. It notes a shift towards more private and localized public clouds with hybrid models. SDN is seen as key for integrating cloud and network virtualization, with VxLAN becoming preferred for overlay networks. Kai Wähner – Real World Use Cases for Realtime In-Memory Computing
NoSQL is not just about different storage alternatives such as document store, key value store, graphs or column-based databases. The hardware is also getting much more important. Besides common disks and SSDs, enterprises begin to use in-memory storages more and more because a distributed in-memory data grid provides very fast data access and update. While its performance will vary depending on multiple factors, it is not uncommon to be 100 times faster than corresponding database implementations. For this reason and others described in this session, in-memory computing is a great solution for lifting the burden of big data, reducing reliance on costly transactional systems, and building highly scalable, fault-tolerant applications. The session begins with a short introduction to in-memory computing. Afterwards, different frameworks and product alternatives are discussed for implementing in-memory solutions. Finally, the main part of this session shows several different real world uses cases where in-memory computing delivers business value by supercharging the infrastructure.

Power utilities worldwide are looking for ways to extend the life of in-field assets while also improving service levels to power subscribers. Existing energy infrastructure deployed across our nation is largely composed of assets with extremely limited communication capabilities based on SCADA protocols, such as DNP3. By the end of 2024, over $7 trillion of infrastructure upgrades will be required. These challenges can be addressed with smarter distribution grids that control and monitor assets down to the level of neighborhoods and individual homes. These smart grids incorporate military-grade securable protocols and hardened architectures. They use hygiene services and bi-directional conversion to Data Distribution Service (DDS) software for all internal and intra-network signalling. And they source intelligence in nodes with continued secure communications to existing operational management systems. The result is distributed management, distributed intelligence and distributed security for high resolution analysis, implementation of evolving policy controls and reasonable price to performance ratio (IRR).
This webinar, co-hosted by RTI and LocalGrid, will discuss the evolution and benefits of smart grids, as well as advancements such as:
Localized control rather than centralized protocol hygiene (energy firewalls)
Analytics and policy control rather than just security
Over the air DDS-assisted updates to change duty cycle and capabilities, and reduce service costs
Mesh-/fabric-based network topologies for self-healing, fault-tolerant networks (multi-master topologies)
Verification of DR compliance using DDS

Modernizing the Manufacturing Industry with Kafka and MQTT Dominik Obermaier
Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing are driving the manufacturing industry to modernize their software infrastructure. The current infrastructure is costly to maintain, creates barriers to sharing data, difficult to integrate with other systems and is limiting corporations to new opportunities promised by Industry 4.0. A key challenge to modernizing a manufacturing infrastructure is how do you integrate old existing systems with new modern systems. Apache Kafka and MQTT are unique positioned to provide the core technology to enable modernization of the manufacturing industry.
This presentation will look at the unique business drivers for modernizing the manufacturing industry and how MQTT and Kafka can help make it a reality.
