2. OPENING SHOT
The 1st shot we see is our main character in
high key lighting which establishes him for
our audience, we see he is wearing fancy
clothes and a nice hat which tells us that he
is quite well off and likes to dress smart. This
also gives us a idea of what time frame this
movie is set in as he is wearing old styled
clothes.
3. SECOND SHOT
This shot sets up the theme for the film
as we see a girl being sacrificed and this
conveys a dark and evil tone, which is
also shown in the lighting, and her
dress color tells us that the darkness is
killing the light and normally light
represents Good and dark Evil.
4. THIRD SHOT
This shot tells us that our main
character Sherlock has a close friend
as show by how close they are here
and how they appear to be thinking
the same thing, this sets up the
relationship between them for the rest
of the film, We see the characters
doing the same action this implies
that they are friends that are meant to
be as they are so similar.
5. FORTH SHOT
We see here an over the should shot of a
fight scene and we see that Sherlock is
also quite aggressive and is able to
handle himself, the use of high key
lighting draws attention to the action and
away from the background, we also see a
de saturated image this can suggest that
Sherlock has bitten more off than he can
chew as the de saturation can represent
how he physically feels during this
scene
