2. Front cover
■ This front cover is an eye catching magazine cover due to the bright
colours used. Once again it is following the three pallet colour scheme,
being green, black and an off white colour.The plain white-ish
background creates a plain ‘canvas’ for the image and text to stand out
over.
■ The mast head being the largest text, and being in the brightest colour
makes it stand out, as well as main sell lines and sell lines being in black
and green to also stand out. However the mast head is the largest text
on the page to make it stand out the most.
■ The main image is centered on the page, it being a close up shot with
the subject looking into the camera shows the detail as well as showing
who the main subject of the magazine is.
■ The subject is looking straight into the camera so that it looks like they
are looking at the reader.There are certain props used such as a crown
and rings used to show wealth and importance, for example the crown
shows not only money but the perception of rappers and how they are
portrayed not only by other but b y themselves, as they are thought to
be selfish and money driven.
■ Other sell lines link in with the image, linking to the article that the main
subject features in. as well as this there are other sell lines, in bold and in
green and black to make them stand out against the white background.

3. Contents page
■ There is one large main image on this contents page, which is positioned
slightly to the right side of the page, and it is a medium shot.The subject is
standing with basic body language, and their head tilted back slightly,
making them look as if they have the typical attitude of being intimidating.
■ As well as this, the subject is wearing a crown and jewelry such as gold
chains and rings, once again showing wealth. it shows their luxurious
lifestyle of spending money on expensive items and working on their
‘image’.
■ The main title is located at the top left hand side of the page, it is in the
colours black and red, which stand out prominently on the white
background.
■ The rest of the text is in a smaller font, and it also down the eft hand side of
the page. It overlaps the image slightly however it is in a darker colour than
the subjects navy clothing, making it readable. In addition to this, there is a
lighter part of the image at the bottom left side, making it easier to read.
The text includes the different articles in the magazine and their page
numbers so that the reader can easily find the different articles.

4. Double page spread
■ This double page spread features a full body image of the
subject that takes up the who left of the page.
■ The subject is wearing baggy clothes, which are quite plain,
however they still stand out against the plain white background,
which shows that it was taken in the studio.The subjects body
language matches the typical associations with rappers, with
their arms crossed, one being on their face.
■ On the left page there is a main title saying “pure genius” which
links in with the rest of the article. Below this there is a bit of
basic information about the article, and then below this there is
the main part of the article where there is a large amount of text.
The text is either in black or red, which are brighter colours to
stand out against the plain white background.The main text is in
black, however pull quotes are in red and are larger than the
main parts of text to make them stand out even more.
■ Other subheadings or additional information about the article
are also in red, which helps separate them from the main text
even though they are quite close together on the same page.
