Approaches
In syntax theory, it is noticeable that there are two sentences
used by the character. The first sentence uses the personal
pronoun “I” with a linking verb “am” and the adjective
complement “glad” or the sentence pattern of Subject-Linking
Verb-Complement (S-LV-C). The next sentence is the effect of
the first sentence with the structure of subject-transitive-
direct object (S-TV-DO) pattern “We need people like you.”
This functions that the plural subject requires a specific
object “people like you”.
This shows that Philip projects towards to himself an
experience that he is glad to have Sam in the agency.
Philip said that, though he works with the foreigner,he just
wants to look ways to impress Sam in order to helphim
increase his salary or perhaps he just wants to thank him for
being such a good person or a friend to him.

realization?
As for me, yes my classmatesare still there to create
meaningful learning experience, but at the end of the day,
they may leave soon but how we left the fun is still needed to
recall how glad I am to have them.
