The Texas STaR Chart is an online self-assessment tool that allows teachers and schools to evaluate their technology proficiency in four key areas: teaching and learning, educator preparation, leadership and support, and infrastructure. It measures progress on a scale from early to target technology use. Pat Neff Middle School's results found they were developing in most areas and set goals to provide computers for all students, ensure technology literacy for all, and begin technology education early.
