The document describes an online examination portal that aims to remove flaws in manual exam systems. It allows students flexibility in choosing aptitude and programming tests. The proposed online system is less time-consuming than the existing manual one and produces more precise results quickly. Key features include user registration, taking tests, viewing results, and generating random questions. The system uses classes, databases, and data flow diagrams. It has some limitations like only registered users can access most features and it is designed for IT students. The conclusion is that the computerized online exam system provides ease and accuracy over paper-based manual systems.
This project aims to manage students attendance and other management in colleges.
It is online web application using higher end open source technologies.
The E-examination Engine, is a website project which has been developed to overcome the offline examination system as the whole process of assigning test and evaluating their scores after the test, is done manually till date. It is very time consuming. The chance of loss of records is high and record searching is difficult. Result processing is also time taking course of action. The main objective of the E- Examination Engine is that, it helps companies/institutions to conduct exams to any number of candidates at a time, in an automated manner. It reduces the time consumption and workload that exist in the current system of examination. It also facilitates secure storage and easier searching of records for each examination.
We have designed this website with the purpose of allowing the students to give exams and view their results. This site is an attempt to remove the existing flaws in the manual system of conducting exams.
Students are provided the flexibility to choose among different types of aptitude and programming language tests.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

3. Introduction of system
We have designed this website with the purpose of allowing the students to
give exams and view their results. This site is an attempt to remove the
existing flaws in the manual system of conducting exams.
Students are provided the flexibility to choose among different types of
aptitude and programming language tests.
4. Existing system
• The whole process of assigning test and evaluating their scores after the
test, was done manually till date. Processing the test paper i.e. checking and
distributing respective scores used to take time when the software was not
installed.
• Existing system is a manual one in which users are maintaining books to store
the information like Student Details, Instructor Details, Schedule Details and
feedbacks about students who attempted exam as per schedule...
5. Disadvantages of current system
• The current system is very time consuming.
• To take exam of more candidates more invigilators are required but
no need of invigilator in case of online examination.
• The chances of paper leakage are more in current system as compared to
proposed system.
• Result processing takes more time as it is done manually.
6. Proposed system
The online test created for taking online test has following features.
• In comparison to the present system the proposed system will be less
time consuming and is more efficient.
• Result will be very precise and accurate and will be declared in very
short span of time because calculation and evaluations are done by the
simulator itself.
• The proposed system is very secure as no chances of leakage of question
paper as it is dependent on the administrator only.
• The logs of appeared candidates and their marks are stored and can be
backup for future use
7. Objective of system
• Online examination will reduce the hectic job of assessing the answers given by the
candidates manually
• Being an integrated Online examination system it will reduce paper work.
• To allow faculty to give additional time to students with disabilities. To allow faculty to create tests and
answer key.
• To allow automatic grading and manual grading which can be recorded
per test.
• Random generation of test question Timed exams
• The result will be shown immediately to the participating students
8. User requirement
• User must have computer , Laptop , Mobile
• User has their Mobile No. and Email-id required for their
authentication
10. Software requirement
Operating System Windows 7 or Higher
Application IE 6 above
Mozilla firefox or Above
Google chrome 6 or Above
Database Server Apache(Xammp Server , Mysql )
11. Class diagram
Class is nothing but a structure that contains both variables and
methods. The Class Diagram shows a set of classes, interfaces,
and collaborations and their relating ships. There is most
common diagram in modeling the object oriented systems
and are used to give the static view of a system.
12. Data flow diagram
The DFD takes an input-process-output view of
a system i.e. data objects flow into the
software, are transformed by processing
elements, and resultant data objects flow out
of the software.
Subsequent DFD refine the context diagram ,
providing increasing details with each
subsequent level.
The DFD enables the software engineer to
develop models of the information domain &
functional domain at the same time. At the
same time, the DFD refinement results in a
corresponding refinement of the data as it
moves through the process that embody the
applications.

15. Limitations and drawbacks
• Unregistered users can only access the home page not anything
else.
• Student only can Check their result by the help of Admin.
• This system is only for IT field students not for other students.
16. Conclusion
Online exam portal is a web application. The key concept is to
minimize the amount of paper and convert all forms of
documentation to digital form. It can observe that the information
required can be obtained with ease and accuracy in the
computerized system. The user with minimum knowledge about
computer can be able operate the system easily. The system also
produces brief result required by the management
