11) Tempos Verbais: Simple Present
 Forma Afirmativa
Observe o quadro abaixo: verbos to live (viver; morar),
 to go (ir) e to play (brincar; jogar; tocar; representar)
 na forma afirmativa:
     I                   I                  I

Características:
1) Equivale ao Presente do Indicativo, em português.
2) Possui mesma forma básica (infinitivo sem to ).
3) Possui exceção da 3 pessoa do singular (he/ she/ it),
    acrescenta-se um sufixo (-s, -es, -ies) à forma básica.
Regra geral, acrescenta-se o –s.
Sufixo –es para verbos terminados em:
 o      to go (ir), to do (fazer)  he/ she/ it goes/ does
 ss     to pass (passar)           he/ she/ it passes
 ch     to teach (ensinar)         he/ she/ it teaches
 sh     to wash (lavar)            he/ she/ it washes
 x       to fix (consertar)         he/she/ it fixes
Usa o –ies quando termina com consoante + y, como
 em:
  to try (tentar; experimentar) I try he/she/ it tries

Usos do Simple Present
- Ações, situações ou atividades permanentes:
  Tropical forests cover only two percent of the Earth’s
   Surface
  (As florestas tropicais cobrem apenas dois por cento
   da superfície terrestre.)
- Ações habituais, repetidas, no presente:
    The old cherokee chief and his grandson often walk
   along the stream near the village. They do that almost
   every day.
  (O velho cacique Cherokee e seu neto frequentemente
   caminham pelo rio perto da aldeia. Eles fazem isso
   quase todos os dias.)
- Verdades universais, fatos científicos ou da natureza:
    Plants absorb carbon from the air.
    (As plantas absorvem carbono do ar.)
Complete as frases com uma das formas do Simple
  Present dos verbos do quadro abaixo. Dois desses
  verbos serão usados.

Tempos verbais simple present - forma afirmativa

  • 1. 11) Tempos Verbais: Simple Present Forma Afirmativa Observe o quadro abaixo: verbos to live (viver; morar), to go (ir) e to play (brincar; jogar; tocar; representar) na forma afirmativa: I I I you live you go you play he he he she lives she goes she plays it it it we we we you live you go you play they they they
  • 2. Características: 1) Equivale ao Presente do Indicativo, em português. 2) Possui mesma forma básica (infinitivo sem to ). 3) Possui exceção da 3 pessoa do singular (he/ she/ it), acrescenta-se um sufixo (-s, -es, -ies) à forma básica. Regra geral, acrescenta-se o –s. Sufixo –es para verbos terminados em: o to go (ir), to do (fazer) he/ she/ it goes/ does ss to pass (passar) he/ she/ it passes ch to teach (ensinar) he/ she/ it teaches sh to wash (lavar) he/ she/ it washes x to fix (consertar) he/she/ it fixes
  • 3. Usa o –ies quando termina com consoante + y, como em: to try (tentar; experimentar) I try he/she/ it tries Usos do Simple Present - Ações, situações ou atividades permanentes: Tropical forests cover only two percent of the Earth’s Surface (As florestas tropicais cobrem apenas dois por cento da superfície terrestre.)
  • 4. - Ações habituais, repetidas, no presente: The old cherokee chief and his grandson often walk along the stream near the village. They do that almost every day. (O velho cacique Cherokee e seu neto frequentemente caminham pelo rio perto da aldeia. Eles fazem isso quase todos os dias.) - Verdades universais, fatos científicos ou da natureza: Plants absorb carbon from the air. (As plantas absorvem carbono do ar.)
