INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND
 Atse Tewodros campus is the main campus in
University of Gondar established in 1964.
 In these campus there is a lot of wall and
dashboards notifications placed on different
location .
 people read those notification during passing
through those notice boards.
 The current system works manually which means
there is no any automated notification system.
4
 Not any organized central notice board system.
 It’s difficult to search new notice from notice board
 the notice may be removed from board before seen by
student.
 defalcates papers and users force.
 Do not access the information in any time and any where.
 They are not any person who is managing the activity of
notification distribution in different place that makes the
environment is unclean.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
5
 General Objective:-is to change the manual notice
board system in to multi-platform independent system.
Specific Objective of the System:-
Gathering required information for proposed system.
Analyzing the gathered information using SRS
document.
Design a new proposed system
Design a user interface for the new system using html,
css.
Design a database for the proposed system using
MYSQL data base.
Finally implement using java script, Php language
 Test and deploy the proposed system.
PROJECT OBJECTIVE
6
 The scope of the system can be described as the overall
features of what the proposed system is capable of
doing.
 Our scope is focused on notification, assign dormitory
and exam scheduling within Atse Tewodros campus.
 The project limited for visually healthy peoples.
SCOPE OF THE PROJECT
7
Any senior and fresh students’ know their dormitory and
other related information without any help.
To announce course schedule and their building to
student without any help using new technology.
Decrease wastage of time during notifying and finding
places of notification boards, exam class.
Students’, instructors came into the exam Course timely
without any confusion.
To reduce paper work.
Used to save time, money and human resource
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE PROJECT
8
 In Atse Tewodros campuses notice system, we will
use iterative model software development
methodology.
We follow the following steps to collect information.
 Direct observation:-watching a person perform
activities.
 Questionnaires:-The questionnaire will be given to
in hard copy.
 Interviewing:-face-to-face questions with users.
9
METHODOLOGY
10
 In Atse Tewodros campus involves asking peoples to
know different information.
 If the user wants to know new notification you must
search that information on the wall or board.
 add and drop schedule, course schedule, examination
schedule notice is posted in the computer lap class, or
department wall.
 ATCNS announce different information to users using
manually such as print media, orally and through
telephone call.
CURRENT SYSTEM FUNCTION
11
announcement may not reach to those who are intended
if the student do not saw the schedule or not asked the
people timely the exam time is lag and does not know
exam class.
fresh students’ does not know any information about
the dormitory.
Order of post:-notice can gates out of order in
traditional notice board system.
Complexity:-: automated system is less complex than
manual system of handling notice.
Editing and communication:-do not allow users to easily
edit information.
CURRENT SYSTEM PROBLEM
12
The aim of proposed system is to develop improve
facilities that can overcome all the problems of the
existing system.
multi platform independent system.
After developing the new system it is fully flagged
online at anytime, anywhere in our campus.
The proposed system will use the major functionality of
the existing system and able to advance in accordance
with speed, performance and efficiency with respect to
current system.
PROPOSED SYSTEM
13
The system allows students view course schedule, exam
schedule, dormitory information and other notices.
The system allows user to manage their own account
and allows admin to manage all users of the system.
The system allows Users to post notices and view
notices.
The system allows department head post class
schedule, exam schedule, and other related notices to
student.
The allows dormitory manager start dormitory
assignation and handle them.
The system allows department heads start exam
scheduling process and handle them.
