Alternative billing arrangements are increasingly in demand by clients who want more predictable legal budgets. Traditional hourly billing does not incentivize efficiency and can penalize efficient firms. This presentation discusses understanding a firm's costs and fee structures in order to develop alternative arrangements like fixed or capped fees. It involves monitoring engagements for variances from estimates to continually improve efficiency. While some resist alternative billing, the presentation argues for transparency, delivering value as a trusted advisor, and finding new ways to charge for strategic advice.
A presentation, originally presented to FICPI on 24 February 2011, outlining some approaches to offering fixed fee or other alternative fee arrangements.

1. Conquista
Pobos CELTAS e IBEROS ROMANA Dominio ROMANO
s.VI s.V s.IV s.III s.II s.I s.I s.II s.III s.IV s.V
1. Pobos prerromanos : os celtas
Ao longo do primeiro
milenio a.C., no Norte e
centro da Península Ibérica
, vivían pobos de orixe
celta en castros. Eran un
pobo rural e guerreiro pero
tamén salientou na arte da
ourivaría e da forxa.
Dedicábanse á gandería e á
agricultura baseada nos
cereais.
litoral mediterráneo e no Sur .
Vivían da agricultura e gandaría.
Coñecían o ferro e utilizaban o torno. Eran hábiles
fabricantes de obxectos de ourivaría e de armas.
Comerciaron con outros pobos e usaron moeda
Crearon un sistema propio de escritura.
Difundiron o uso do arado e introduciron o cultivo
da vide e da oliveira; tamén aprenderon a conservar
o peixe mediante a salgadura
Incineraban aos defuntos na necrópole. Enterraban
as cinzas nunha foxa xunto co enxoval funerario.
2. 3. HISPANIA, provincia romana
a. C. )
Ámbolos dous querían os mesmo :
- as riquezas da Península Ibérica: ouro,
prata…
- o control do comercio mediterráneo.
Os romanos desembarcaron en Emporion (Ampurias) en 218 a. C.
(Numancia), conquistárona a finais s. II a. C
- Cornixa cantábrica ►dominárona no ano 19 a.C.
A Romanización
É o proceso de adaptación á forma de vida
romana.
Os pobos iberos e celtas foron adoptando a
súa lengua (latín), as súas leis, as súas formas
costumes.

As cidades romanas eran o centro da vida social, económica, política e

Estaban amuralladas e tiñan un trazado cuadricular.
No centro estaba o foro : unha gran praza rodeada de edificios públicos ,
templos e comercios .Os ricos vivían en casas luxosas (domus), os
humildes en casas de pisos (insulae).

Teatro→para representacións de comedias
A VIDA NO CAMPO
A maioría dos habitantes vivían no campo: cultivaban a terra e criaban
gando.
