21 st  Century skills focus “ The Board is very excited about our new strategic direction and what the future holds for our students, teachers and administrators,” said Board President Kim Quirk. “Our desire is to move RISD beyond current standards and provide students with the power they need to succeed in the 21st century.”  ( http://www.risd.org/group/aboutrisd/Board_Of_Trustees/VisionGoals.html ) District Technology Advisory Committee updates District Technology Plan annually. TAC members are representative of all district stakeholders. Central Administrators provide support for campus administrators and classroom teachers to meet the needs of the 21 st  Century learner . Technology integration support is a team approach. Instructional Technology collaborates with Curriculum & Instruction. Curriculum Directors provide integrated lessons for classroom teachers. Instructional Technology Specialist (teachers) are placed at each secondary campus to work with teachers integrating technology into classrooms. Three elementary Technology Cluster Specialists (teachers) work with elementary campuses. Dotted two-way arrows on the org chart show the collaborative approach / support for campus administrators and classroom teachers as technology is integrated in the curriculum/classroom.
