The U.S. Department of Defense started the internet in 1969 to create a communication system that could withstand emergencies by linking computers over telephone lines. As the system grew, other uses beyond communication were discovered such as sending messages and files between computers. By the late 1970s, computer networks had become international and standards for message formats had developed. While the internet connects millions of computers globally, allowing any computer to connect to any other, the world wide web is an information sharing system built upon the internet that allows users to access information from various websites.

JMeter webinar - integration with InfluxDB and GrafanaRTTS
Watch this recorded webinar about real-time monitoring of application performance. See how to integrate Apache JMeter, the open-source leader in performance testing, with InfluxDB, the open-source time-series database, and Grafana, the open-source analytics and visualization application.
In this webinar, we will review the benefits of leveraging InfluxDB and Grafana when executing load tests and demonstrate how these tools are used to visualize performance metrics.
Length: 30 minutes
Session Overview
-------------------------------------------
During this webinar, we will cover the following topics while demonstrating the integrations of JMeter, InfluxDB and Grafana:
- What out-of-the-box solutions are available for real-time monitoring JMeter tests?
- What are the benefits of integrating InfluxDB and Grafana into the load testing stack?
- Which features are provided by Grafana?
- Demonstration of InfluxDB and Grafana using a practice web application

"Impact of front-end architecture on development cost", Viktor TurskyiFwdays
I have heard many times that architecture is not important for the front-end. Also, many times I have seen how developers implement features on the front-end just following the standard rules for a framework and think that this is enough to successfully launch the project, and then the project fails. How to prevent this and what approach to choose? I have launched dozens of complex projects and during the talk we will analyze which approaches have worked for me and which have not.

1. All About the Internet When did the Internet start? In 1969 the internet was started by the U.S Department of Defense, because they wanted a communication system that would not be destroyed in case there was an emergency. As a result they decided to link computers over telephone lines so if one computer failed to work the others would still be able to communicate with each other. Not just a pretty screen. As the system began to grow other uses were soon discovered for the internet, such as sending messages and files between computers. In the 1970’s standards for the message formats developed and by the end of the 1970’s computer networks had become international. http://www.cultureandrecreation.gov.au/resources/guides/g2/s2.htm What’s the difference between the internet and the World Wide Web? The internet is a huge network of networks. It connects millions of computers together globally, forming a network and as a result any computer can connect with any other computer in any part of the world, as long as they are both connected to the internet. The world wide web is only a medium for accessing information over the internet. It is an information sharing model that is built on top of the internet. So while the internet is a network allowing people to connect with each other globally, the web is simply an added extra to the internet that allows to gain information from varied sites. http://www.netvalley.com/intval/07262/main.htm?sdf=1
