Modules

Used to provide phase marker signal to the
monitor modules and data acquisition unit in TNC2000
system. It provides also a rotating speed measurement.

•Power supply
The MPS Power Supply delivers reliable,
regulated power for all monitors and their associated
transducers.
When two power supplies are used the system
supply is redundant. Both supplies are powered
simultaneously. Either supply can power a full rack.
Removing or inserting a power supply module will not
disturb operation of the rack.

17. Application 1. 225 MW Steam Turbine Assemblies
The system installed on eight large steam turbine assemblies, 225MW
each.
•the TNC2000the TNC2000 set of each machine is provided with the
JAD32/32 data acquisition unit.
•The system's functionality ensures supervision and protection,
operation visualization, diagnostics and data recording.
•The VMSH type modules employed for the measurement of relative
vibrations offer additional protection against fluctuations of vectors 1X
and 2X.

selected bearings

18. Application 2. 15MW Hydrogenerators
In this application, the SMMhydro system version is installed
on four hydrogenerators, having speed of 214 rpm (rotation
cycle time 3.75 Hz). The following set of measurements is
performed for each machine:
- 2 channels for absolute axial vibrations
- 2 channels for absolute radial vibrations
- 8 channels for relative vibrations of four bearings in two
axes
- 3 channels for axial movement
- rotating speed measurement
- phase marker
For data acquisition, the JAD16/16For data acquisition, the
JAD16/16 Data Acquisition Units are installed. Data access is
limited to only one user and the data is used mainly for
diagnostic purposes. Additionally, signals received from
TNC2000 are fed to a protection system and to operator’s
terminal for visualisation. To keep investment costs down,
the communication between data acquisition unit with
diagnostic terminal and protection and visualisation systems
is via common optical network.
19. Application 3. 50 MW Hydrogenerators
In this applications, the system serves the purpose of
protection and diagnostics of two hydrogenerators having
very low rotation speed, equalling 160 rpm. Current signals
provided by the TNC2000 are used for protection and are fed
to a hydrogenerators control system. The following set of
measurements is performed for each machine:
- 4 absolute vibration channels
- 6 relative vibration channels in two axes
- 3 axial displacement channels
- rotating speed measurement
- phase marker
