Factories prioritized high output over worker safety, leading to many injuries. Employees had little bargaining power and low pay. These issues prompted new labor laws around minimum wage and work standards. Conti predicts that artificial intelligence will continue transforming manufacturing. Within 20 years, AI may handle many production roles currently done by humans. This could both create new jobs and displace some workers, changing society.

Argumentative Essay:
Technology: A Tool for School?
One hundred years ago, people could only dream about a society full of hand held
communication devices, computers that reach into virtual worlds, interactive screen
games, and complex robotic machinery. Two important aspects of the technology concept
include the scope and role (Orlikowski 398). In regards to education, one view states that
technology has helped educate students because “video can play a crucial role in
developing the higher order skills that are emphasized in current views of teaching and
learning” (Moore 174). On the other hand, many believe that “television’s principal
contribution to educational philosophy is the idea that teaching and entertainment are
inseparable” (Postman 424). Although the perspectives regarding technology differ
greatly, all can agree that it has severely impacted our society in multiple ways.
Ultimately, research has proven that technology has created an industrial revolution that
has drastically altered education.
Technology is prevalent in almost every aspect of the American culture and it has
become nearly impossible to avoid interacting with and learning how to use and deal with

Is it good or bad that we are so dependent on technology?
People can hardly imagine their lives without modern technologies nowadays. We are used to the fact that all our phones and important contacts are recorded in phones, computers, laptops, and other portable gadgets. We fully rely on technology, we might be depending on it. Calculate how many computers, monitors, phones you have at home! A lot of? There are probably more phones than the number of people in your family, and everyone probably has a computer. These devices have become an important part of our life. Moreover, almost every day either a new technology is being invented or an old one is being improved.
Different people appreciate new inventions differently. Some suppose that sophisticated gadgets are really useful and necessary, while others find them absolutely awful as they influence people badly and called it an addiction. As for me, I am pretty sure that gadgets make people's lives easier.
Firstly, they do all kinds of dirty and hard work and save a lot of time. Secondly, people won't be to stop and will work more on new innovations, to helps people in different spheres. For instance, put computer programs into the phone or make robots likeness to people for getting extra help.
According to the article ”Meet Zora, the Robot Caregiver” By ADAM SATARIANO, ELIAN PELTIER, and DMITRY KOSTYUKOV. It is one of the good examples of do not be scared and does not think that we may be addicted to technology. Zora is an experimental robot that helps change care for elderly patients. ” When Zora arrived at this nursing facility an hour outside Paris, a strange thing began happening: Many patients developed an emotional attachment, treating it like a baby, holding and cooing, giving it kisses on the head” from the article ”Meet Zora, the Robot Caregiver” By ADAM SATARIANO, ELIAN PELTIER, and DMITRY KOSTYUKOV. I would like to repeat the sentence ”Many patients developed an emotional attachment, treating it like a baby, holding and cooing, giving it kisses on the head” because it sounds very joyful and people may have a chance to be happy again and share their love to someone else such as Zora. All nursing can control the actions and communication of Zora from a laptop and it's useful to remind what is scheduled for patients and furthermore takes more care of individuals to all patients. However, patients have told the robot things about their health they wouldn’t share with doctors. It means patients trust more to robots than to people since people may hurt or offend hardly and the patient won't trust them. The robots have artificial intelligence and all action is under control, so why it's bad to be addicted to technology?

Argumentative Essay:
Technology: A Tool for School?
One hundred years ago, people could only dream about a society full of hand held
communication devices, computers that reach into virtual worlds, interactive screen
games, and complex robotic machinery. Two important aspects of the technology concept
include the scope and role (Orlikowski 398). In regards to education, one view states that
technology has helped educate students because “video can play a crucial role in
developing the higher order skills that are emphasized in current views of teaching and
learning” (Moore 174). On the other hand, many believe that “television’s principal
contribution to educational philosophy is the idea that teaching and entertainment are
inseparable” (Postman 424). Although the perspectives regarding technology differ
greatly, all can agree that it has severely impacted our society in multiple ways.
Ultimately, research has proven that technology has created an industrial revolution that
has drastically altered education.
Technology is prevalent in almost every aspect of the American culture and it has
become nearly impossible to avoid interacting with and learning how to use and deal with

Is it good or bad that we are so dependent on technology?
People can hardly imagine their lives without modern technologies nowadays. We are used to the fact that all our phones and important contacts are recorded in phones, computers, laptops, and other portable gadgets. We fully rely on technology, we might be depending on it. Calculate how many computers, monitors, phones you have at home! A lot of? There are probably more phones than the number of people in your family, and everyone probably has a computer. These devices have become an important part of our life. Moreover, almost every day either a new technology is being invented or an old one is being improved.
Different people appreciate new inventions differently. Some suppose that sophisticated gadgets are really useful and necessary, while others find them absolutely awful as they influence people badly and called it an addiction. As for me, I am pretty sure that gadgets make people's lives easier.
Firstly, they do all kinds of dirty and hard work and save a lot of time. Secondly, people won't be to stop and will work more on new innovations, to helps people in different spheres. For instance, put computer programs into the phone or make robots likeness to people for getting extra help.
According to the article ”Meet Zora, the Robot Caregiver” By ADAM SATARIANO, ELIAN PELTIER, and DMITRY KOSTYUKOV. It is one of the good examples of do not be scared and does not think that we may be addicted to technology. Zora is an experimental robot that helps change care for elderly patients. ” When Zora arrived at this nursing facility an hour outside Paris, a strange thing began happening: Many patients developed an emotional attachment, treating it like a baby, holding and cooing, giving it kisses on the head” from the article ”Meet Zora, the Robot Caregiver” By ADAM SATARIANO, ELIAN PELTIER, and DMITRY KOSTYUKOV. I would like to repeat the sentence ”Many patients developed an emotional attachment, treating it like a baby, holding and cooing, giving it kisses on the head” because it sounds very joyful and people may have a chance to be happy again and share their love to someone else such as Zora. All nursing can control the actions and communication of Zora from a laptop and it's useful to remind what is scheduled for patients and furthermore takes more care of individuals to all patients. However, patients have told the robot things about their health they wouldn’t share with doctors. It means patients trust more to robots than to people since people may hurt or offend hardly and the patient won't trust them. The robots have artificial intelligence and all action is under control, so why it's bad to be addicted to technology?

The Internet as social media: connectivity and immediacy
In July 2009, a musician named Dave Carroll was traveling with his band from Toronto Canada to Nebraska somewhere, much like many millions of other folks have done. Looking out the window the plane, however, Dave noticed that the United Airlines baggage handlers were, to put it mildly, failing to treat his rather expensive guitar and a number of other musical instruments belonging to the band with suitable care, preferring instead to sort of fling them through the air into the cargo hold. Dave pointed out to the UAL cabin attendants that this was not likely to be of significant benefit to the instruments' health, but was told that nothing could be done and he should simply sit down and be quiet. Upon arriving in Chicago, Dave determined that in fact he had been right, and his $2,400 guitar was now $2,400 worth of rather expensive kindling. He pointed this out to the United Airlines staff at the time, and suggested that perhaps some compensation might be in order. United Airlines, in the best bureaucratic tradition, took almost a year to conclude that its folks certainly hadn't done anything wrong, that Dave was probably just being excessively picky, and that they weren't about to pony up anything. After all, weren't they a Fortune 25 company engaged in a conflict with one rather slender young musician? It seemed like a classic application of the business motto once attributed to the old monolithic AT&T: “We’re the phone company…we don’t care. We don’t have to.”
Back then, that worked. In fact, it still does, a lot of the time; money and power still convey a lot of advantage. But here’s where things get interesting. As a practicing musician, Dave was well aware of a recent phenomenon known as YouTube—a strange sort of Internet place where you could essentially tack up as many electronic versions of “95 Theses” as you wanted to, allowing some creativity, some luck, and something called “viral video” behavior to be leveraged on occasion into something quite unprecedented. I think teachers and students share some of the same benefits of CyberLearning. The knowledge base is nearly limitless and opportunities for collaboration abound. While teachers do save quite a bit of time in having access to materials and information, the vast wealth of that information can be overwhelming too! And while having such access can present some ethical and legal temptations, it is an opportunity to clearly and explicitly teach the moral and societal implications and duties of ethical behavior on the Web -- Web 2.0.

David Burns gave a presentation on using social media to extend the reach of English language programs. He discussed 20 different social media platforms that can be used for education, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, blogs and Google tools. He explained how each one can be utilized for teacher professional development, student projects and collaboration. Burns emphasized that teachers should make responsible choices regarding social media use and consider privacy issues in their local context.

- 8. Reflection With technology taking over in the classrooms today, Google slides can play a huge role in sharing resources to students. At the click of a button students open up a whole page on the internet from a link within a sentence. Also, Google is key because you can share new tools with students via google docs to where everyone has access to see it and learn. It can promote curiosity by allowing the students to research on topics while most importantly showing them what sources are credible and which are faulty. I think the biggest challenge is how the internet is so vulnerable that anyone who tried hard enough could hack your work and steal/change it.
