This document outlines a project called Hexadrain that aims to address issues with neurosurgical care at the district hospital level in Rwanda. It proposes a two-part solution: 1. Advocacy, awareness training, and education programs for general practitioners at district hospitals to help prevent delays in care. 2. The development of a temporary surgical tool called Hexadrain that can be used at district hospitals to monitor intracranial pressure and "buy time" for patients with severe head injuries until they can be transferred to a neurosurgeon.
