a simple approach to English
Grammar teaching.
Thanks for Attending
  this Workshop
What is in it for you?
Reflective Teaching
WHAT?
Chunk new vocabulary or grammar
 structures using station teaching.
WHY?
It is an option that is based on
   collaboration.
The end result is an independent
   student.
My inspiration…
WHAT?
Tweak the Station Teaching
  to fit English Teaching.

         WHY?
To achieve a multi-teacher
 instruction with a single
 educator.
How to prepare for a
Teaching by Stations
      session.
An station sign example
We will work together…
WHAT?

WHY?
Before your
       session:
Divide your classroom.

Clearly identify each station.

Secure an empty paper to each
 desk.
WHY?
Advertise.
To draw attention.
Surprise your students.
Stability and familiarity.
Start your session :

Instruct students to sit down, and tell
them they have two minutes to draw
  an appropriate clothing piece and
  write a description bellow their
  drawing.
Make students rotate to each station.
WHY?

To give students space,
 variety and movement.
How the brain works?
Brain Rules, Dr. John Medina

"If you wanted to create an
  education environment that
  was directly opposed to what
the brain was good at doing,
  you probably would design
  something like a classroom. "
After the rotation :
Collect the papers and place them on
 the board.
Tell students to grab their notebooks
and select an outfit for each place.
Students must then write complete
 affirmative sentences using subject,
 verb, object, place and time.
An extension activity :

As an extension activity, you can ask
 students to write the negative,
 interrogative and information question
forms of the sentences they built.
