2. TITLE OF MAGAZINE
The title I have chosen for the magazine is “Soundbound” as I feel like the title is suitable to fit the genre whilst
also sounding good and memorable. I have chosen the name as I feel like it represents the rock genre without
the obvious use of the word Rock in the genre.
3. EXPLANATION OF GENRE CHOICE
I have chosen to use ‘Rock’ as my genre choice as I enjoy the type of music and feel like a magazine relating to
the genre would be relatively easy to do. I feel as though rock would be easy to replicate in the magazine as I
understand the main denotations of the types of features for the magazine.
4. TARGET AUDIENCE
Features of target audience:
• Aged 16-22
• White-British
• Shirt / informal clothing
• Tatoos
5. FRONT PAGE:
• Main image of person holding guitar
• Red, black and white colours for text and headline/ cover-line
• Multiple pictures of artists
• Page consists of mainly large images with largely stroked lettering to stay clear on the
colours in the background.
6. CONTENTS PAGE:
• Large image of artist potentially taking up an entire side of the page.
• Text about festival (relating to front cover)
• More detail and more informal text that the front page.
7. PHOTOGRAPHS
• Photographs of people with miscellaneous instruments and microphones.
• Photos of people in “rock-like” poses.
• Picture of person on stairs
