These large companies can afford big budgets to attract large audiences with famous actors and quality resources.
Genre investigation
Genre is a way of categorizing text based on style and form conventions. Genres are formed over time as new ones emerge and old ones fade away, and works can fit into multiple genres. A text is classified into a genre by identifying key elements it shares with others in that genre, such as plot points, music, or font. Genre provides audiences with expectations for how elements will be represented. Several genre theorists discuss genres and their conventions, such as them being dynamic over time rather than fixed, and pleasure coming from repetition with variation. Most genre theories can be applied to horror films, which use conventions through iconography and other elements to set expectations.
Assignment 4 – analysis of tv documentary 2
The documentaries being compared are Catfish and Lifers. Catfish documents filmmakers' online friendship that leads to unexpected discoveries, while Lifers provides insight into life sentences in prison. Both documentaries use conventions like handheld footage, titles/credits, and interviews. Catfish develops the convention of supporting images through only showing the subject through photographs. Lifers uses ominous background music to set the tone.

Revolver Films would be the preferred media institution to distribute the film. It specializes in independent and obscure psychological thrillers like the film. It is also based in London near the filmmakers. Funding would come from the BFI, as it provides funding support from production through distribution and the UK Film Council is no longer operating.

As a now-defunct organization, the UK Film Council backed over 900 films, including features and shorts from upcoming directors. They produced 28 Days Later, a similar zombie apocalypse film. Film 4 produces challenging lower-budget British films but their horror selections do not relate closely to the filmmaker's concept. The UK Film Council would help address any budget issues.

Monitoring and observability aren’t traditionally found in software curriculums and many of us cobble this knowledge together from whatever vendor or ecosystem we were first introduced to and whatever is a part of your current company’s observability stack.
While the dev and ops silo continues to crumble….many organizations still relegate monitoring & observability as the purview of ops, infra and SRE teams. This is a mistake - achieving a highly observable system requires collaboration up and down the stack.

Climate impact / sustainability of software testing discussed on the talk. ICT and testing must carry their part of global responsibility to help with the climat warming. We can minimize the carbon footprint but we can also have a carbon handprint, a positive impact on the climate. Quality characteristics can be added with sustainability, and then measured continuously. Test environments can be used less, and in smaller scale and on demand. Test techniques can be used in optimizing or minimizing number of tests. Test automation can be used to speed up testing.
